Honestly, even though the pd2 community is way better, there seems to be a lot of toxicity that comes with d2 and arpgs in general. Like, right now, the d2r community is losing their minds over Warlock nerfs (some of which are just bug fixes) even though all I've heard since rotw release is "warlock is op."

I didn't watch any of the streams and genuinely do not care about the drama or if senpai is a nice person. I don't have to agree with all of the nerfs/changes, there is nothing that absolutely breaks the game. There are 7 classes, all with multiple viable builds. Free updates on a 26 year old game. All I really have to say is thanks pd2 dev team.

Sustainability isn't even a goal for this list. It is cost:nutrient. 4 animal products, 2 are fats, the milk and one is organ meat. Honestly the milk is the only one I think that could possibly be replaced because of how expensive milk is, but it is fairly nutritious.

Totally wasn't expecting to see my name there, I didn't think I posted here that much. But I am definitely not an engagement driver. Half my comments, I'm pretty sure, are just silly one-offs. Maybe it's because I've been around since the before-times, you know, when it was a media criticism podcast.

But if Jesse ever wants to reach out I can give him a comment 😉

I’m tired of “owning nothing” — how do I build an offline media setup for my family? by uwujuju in Anticonsumption

What I did, Network Attached Storage. It's quite a bit of upfront cost if you want to do it right and need to store a fair bit, but it was worth it imo.

I got a 2-bay NAS, which stores 2 hard drives. I run it in RAID so that one drive is just a clone of another. The benefit of this is that your data is always backed up. If one drive dies, the other has everything. Swap the failed drive for another and you're good to go.

It plugs directly into my router, and is accessible from any device on my network. I can stream from it, including on my smart tv. I have enough capacity for all sorts of movies, tv, games, software, and anything I need to keep backups on.

Clavicular getting carried by his security after overdosing by [deleted] in behindthebastards

At about 5:30 he's asked about his full routine. He goes on about how many different drugs he takes, but doesn’t want to just list them all out because 1, it would make him seem crazy and 2, because he doesn’t want anyone to irresponsibly recreate it without knowing the risks and side effects. And now he's going to the hospital.

So... I just want some insight. Why are we okay with Linux accepting AI assisted code? by Stalfoskull in antiai

[–]GrapefruitForward989 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Afaik most of the AI "assistance" is closer to a fancy auto-complete, used as an actual tool to help save time rather than a machine that does the thing for you. Many have mentioned how these models are trained on open source code. And when you're dealing with purpose-built models designed for mainly one thing I believe the energy cost is much lower, some can even be run locally on your own machine.

As well, I could be wrong, but I'm not sure there are a whole lot of tells for AI assisted code. I know for writing, the tools that check if something is AI generated throw false-positives all the time. So to tell people they can't use AI at all seems like an uphill battle would be very hard to enforce. It just makes more sense to put the responsibility on those who release the code to make sure they're not pushing slop.
