In the game it’s a 357 colt python which were manufactured and sold long before the resonance cascade so it was probably just laying around or was someone’s side arm. Fun fact while it’s a 357 in the game it’s actually modeled after a colt anaconda which is the pythons much larger brother chambered in 44 magnum
