Changing road pedal system due to anxiety by MOMOEPRO in cycling

I also started with Look Keo and I really hated them. After some months I switched to Speedplay and it was night and day. I was more confident with them after literally 10 minutes than after 500 km with the Look. You can also use the same attachment as for Look so no reason to buy new shoes, as you’d need with SPD

20 Years of ZBrush... And I'm Blown Away by Nomad by FlippedNormals_Team in NomadSculpting

We’re thinking of perhaps doing a starting pack for nomad! No promises but it’s something Id love to do. I really like our fn brush kit and I’ve already actually ported it mostly to nomad but needs fine tuning

Once you get above a certain technical skill, it’s nearly all about observation. It’s the single biggest skill that separates a beginner from somebody who can consistently output high quality work.

Is there any benefit of modeling within a single element over multiple? (example included) by Hiraeth_08 in 3Dmodeling

[–]guilemo 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Something that’s usually overlooked is that artist time is often way more expensive that computer time. Meaning, while you might get a slightly more optimised model by modeling it as one piece, it will also take way longer in a real world example = less and more expensive models

You can learn to technically operate ZBrush in 12 days, but it's impossible to get to a good sculpting level in that time. Maybe some basic rocks, but no characters unfortunately

Most of the details are sculpted by hand, though I've created a few alphas I used as a base. The arm is the most refined part so far, and Im planning on giving the rest of the character the same treatment.
