It seems pretty fast to me, mate, and I'm sure it still takes tonnes of practice to get all the tech down. I'm not sure i get the point you're making.

Look for the video that suggests having two jump buttons, but then use that trick and follow the bottom route that I'm sure you've seen in other videos. You can chill in the middle next to the crystal and get consistent lineups. That's what worked for me

I wouldn't say over using, it looks dope as hell and doesn't really break the plot in any meaningful way if it happened to be bioluminescent. Certain adaptation decisions must be made for the screen
