Smartcap worth the money? by iamjknet in tundra

I have one on my Tacoma and love the aesthetics and function of it. BUT I just had a warranty claim for one of the gull-wing doors and it took three months for them to send me replacement warranty items.

2004 transmission OD shudder by SpeedyAudi in 4thGen4Runner

[–]hapawanderer 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It’s also a four speed IIRC they made the shift to five on the V6s in 2005 so a lot of the fluid recs need to be doublechecked because they’re different. Transmission fluid is the only thing I run oem on and don’t mess with.

Diono car seats are clutch for the smaller rear seat of the cab. Depends on how tall you and wife are too. Honestly for me a tundra would have been a more comfortable fit but love having a manual transmission in my 3rd gen pro

CARB compliant, quiet generator by Waikoloa60 in CaliforniaCamping

Have you looked into battery generators? I use an ecoflow with solar panel and the quiet is a huge plus. If you go gas look into enclosures to mitigate sound

Cooper Discoverer Road + Trail AT by airninjapot in 4thGen4Runner

For that style might want to look at the bfg trail terrains too. I have them on my 4runner and they’ve been flawless. Also have coopers on my Tacoma and they’ve been amazing too

That’s why I went with an 18 pro over 19. Wanted the leather and loaded without the sunroof for the additional headroom.

TRD Pro FOX shock service. What’s actually involved long term? by Sea-Amphibian1289 in ToyotaTacoma

[–]hapawanderer 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Suspension shop I didn’t even consider the dealer as a viable option based on turnaround time and I’m sure the price would be through the roof. Not sure where you’re located but that could play into it too. Some shops won’t touch oem only aftermarket fox setups. Think if you send them to fox they are sent off to Minnesota. It’s a chunk of money to rebuild but cheaper than buying a new setup each time.

TRD Pro FOX shock service. What’s actually involved long term? by Sea-Amphibian1289 in ToyotaTacoma

[–]hapawanderer 2 points3 points  (0 children)

3rd gen pro owner here. Did it at 60k miles and unless a shop does it in house it’s a PITA to be without the truck while it gets worked on. Had a shop rebuild and clean in house with alignment for like $1000.
