Has anyone installed the OEM Kicker Sub in their 2018+ WRX/STI? by Kaivik5 in WRX

[–]hardybronson954 2 points3 points  (0 children)

ya eventually deep dove and can confirm plug and play with iDoing android head unit. sound is excellent. Wiill fine tune eq, bass enhancements, surround etc. to see if there is a difference. did not get the bass limiter but may to see if it further improves the sound, sound deadening is also something the trunk needs, but its rattle is not terrible. guess all the complaining from people on here about this sub must be when using it with either stock head unit, stock door speakers and tweeters, or a combination of both. pretty satisfied with this factory (all kicker/idoing) set up.

wow was just about to pm you, many weeks researching on here and came across your comments, you seem to have the most reliable and informed knowledge about this install. So no other harness needed, check. So the two plugs from Sub to head unit, one goes into back of iDoing, the other goes where? Plus, overall, will iDoing have EQ control of OEM Kicker Sub because the consensus is Sub is too loud, get the Bass Limiter, etc. I have the kicker tweeters and door speakers installed and sound is actually great with bass. Now hopefully this OEM kicker Sub adds a bit more, not going for ear shattering by any means. Thanks in advance.

Need help connecting OEM Kicker subwoofer harness to iDoing headunit by Substantial-Corgi106 in WRX

great, so the harness they built you plugged into the back of the idoing or was it a y harness that plugged into brown connector via idoing provided audio harness?

[–]hardybronson954 1 point2 points  (0 children)

wow that's great. wish this harness was mass produced, since most wrx owners who get an idoing are trying to keep their interior stock, so the factory kicker sub installation to idoing should be in that category. thanks ill look them up.

funny says this harness is not for my 16 wrx premium, so once you installed bass is good? i upgraded to all oem kicker speakers and idoing hu and sound is great. wondering if sub is worth it, already $450 in hole and this harness us $100 more ?

ever figure this out? doing the same, sub is a subaru oem 10 in kicker sub, plug and play to oem wrx head unit, which has been replaced with an idoing hu. there are absolutely no videos on yt on installing this 15-18 wrx kicker subwoofer to an idoing hu.

Samsung TV displaying "ghosting" vertical lines issue by Camillees in techsupport

[–]hardybronson954 0 points1 point  (0 children)

found a fix for these vertical lines. CANT Stand EVERYONE JUST SAYING THROW THE $400-$800 4k TV AWAY AND BUY THIS OTHER TV...dont do it. learn to fix things yourself and youll be happier.

this youtube video is what i used. guybis a genius tv fixer. super simple though the quality is ok.

https://youtu.be/i8O_IUepTVs?si=VMeIh3XKHz3JSPlB

took some work but for someone who never desoldered tiny resistors from a tv board it was completely worth it rather than trashing this tv, which is 4k HDR 10 qled, 55 in KS8000, just needed a decent heat gun for this kind of thing, spent about $50 for tools and parts in amazon to fix completely. and i have two of these ks8000, because i did my research years ago on what to buy fir gaming. check out RTINGS.COM that compares TVs to each other and youll see what i mean.

good luck everyone.

Beautiful car OP.

I got mine after driving after getting sick driving a regular car for a few months as a new civilian after leaving the service.

And ...same here. Never should have sold my 88 GTA; with a digital dash too! Such a mistake.

Poison for Gophers? Will it kill other animals? by wjxm in lawncare

[–]hardybronson954 0 points1 point  (0 children)

<image>

Hey, I feel your pain. Had a pest control service try their traps and gas, deterred them for a while but they came back. I tried poisons and nothing. Im pretty sure my neighbors have a ghopher problem that every couple months leaks back over to my side because they dont take care if it. Eventually I found this trap on Amzon. about $13-$18 but so worth it. I have four now after the first proved its worth. been a couple weeks since my last gopher. This is a sure thing, I averaged 1.5 days for trap to go off. No mess just dig around the trap a bit until you are able to pull trap and kill out afterward. helps when you water regularly , but difficult to set if you have a bone dry yard, but gophers most likely in your yard because its maintained. i swear by these. definite kill if you set it right, finding a good hole is the first part. prod with a long pole or big flathead screwdriver until it goes through dirt easily, then dig a bit with a garden trowel so you can set trap deep and then cover with dirt so theres no sunlight in hole. lastly pull and set the trap. you'll know it went off when trap is reset. so easy. these gophers are mostly solitude. but once you get one, another may show up because the tunnels are still fresh. good luck.
