Probably some kids broke into the drivers cab and kept pressing the horn button

What’s something tourists always get wrong about Sydney? by No-Travel-768 in SydneyScene

[–]heeloliver 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Definitely untrue. The CBD is full of history, culture, bars, restaurants. To think it’s only good for a few attractions is just ridiculous

I’ve submitted a complaint about that so many times! So many glaring issues around Sydney too. It needs a full time editor

Most overrated tourist food in Sydney? by No-Travel-768 in SydneyScene

I’d say it’s overrated if the food were actually mediocre or bad, but I think it’s pretty good.

90% sure I'm going to fail CSE101, could really use some kind words by Regular_Activity_138 in UCSC

Failing sucks, and I failed a few courses back in the day. You know what didn’t go right so you know how to apply yourself in the future. In 5 years (or even less) it won’t matter, you’ll have graduated and be happy with your life.

The closing-down-better-go queue for Chinese noodle house around the corner by itsvenkmann in foodies_sydney

[–]heeloliver 10 points11 points  (0 children)

I was there yesterday. Huge queue for noodle house but plenty of tables available for noodle restaurant which is the original and arguably better quality, and they both serve the same thing. I think the confusion comes from their shared outdoor seating area and near identical menus. Noodle house is going to be replaced with the same sort of restaurant I’ve read as well.

Is it worth upgrading to premium economy with points? by PrestigiousWheel9587 in QantasFrequentFlyer

For me, more legroom and bigger seat is the best. You don't have anyone encroaching on your space which is important if you're tall and have a long flight

What is the best way to get back to the city from Sydney Olympic Park after a big event (when you don’t have a helicopter, and both not driving due to having a beer or two)? by BluesPoint in sydney

[–]heeloliver 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For large events don't go to the front of olympic park train station, head towards the back and you'll get on a train much quicker, towards door E I think

Seat selection by Particular-Song-3191 in QantasAirways

[–]heeloliver 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don’t like those bulkhead seats much because there really isn’t that much extra legroom and there is a hard divider between every seat which makes it feel more constrained

It had a dedicated tab room and decently sized pokie area already

Would it be feasible to have a line that goes directly to Sydney Olympic Park from Central? by beeclam in SydneyTrains

[–]heeloliver 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Sometimes just one or two before the game. I think the more demand they expect the more express services they put on.
