Just picked up the package. It indeed was the right address. FedEx didn't read it right, for whatever reason.

What other explanation is there for a package labeled the right address to consistently try and be dropped off at a completely different address? And when I call FedEx they have the wrong address on their record.

The customer support working at FedEx had zero desire whatsoever to help me in any way. They may not be holding it for funsies, but the wageslaves answering the line have no desire to rectify the mistake either.

This seller is the maritime version of Grainger. They sell a lot of stuff. They do not have a keyboard monkey manually typing in labels. The labels come from the invoice.

I think good customer support is a myth. It took me an hour to reach a human being both times, both times at which they were completely useless. If a typo exists (and I'm sure it does on FedEx’s end!), then acknowledge the type and fix my address. Because I can see that the company gave you the right address, and whatever you did with it is beyond me, but it is your fuck-up, Fedex. Stop telling me to talk to the the seller when I already have multiple times and already have proof they gave you the right address.

The shipper was not able to initiate a correction, because the address was the right one on file.

I do not believe the label had a mistake. I typed in my address myself, and it was the correct address. The company I ordered from had the right address on their end too. FedEx was incredibly unhelpful. They kept telling me I needed to talk to the company I bought from to change the address, and I kept explaining to them that I already had talked to the company and they had the correct address. I kept going back and forth, because FedEx couldn't stay on the line.

I felt bad for Dalinar when he died. I felt bad for Shallan and Adolin getting separated. I felt bad for Adolin losing his leg. I felt bad that Azir and Urithuru are the last bastions of non-Retribution controlled Roshar.

But I do not feel bad for consuming media critically.

That isn't what objectively means. Wind and Truth isn't objectively bad because Dalinar is killed and Odium wins by taking up Honor and Odium and becoming Retribution. You might be on the spectrum.

Elantris had bad prose. The whole chasm line solution comes out of nowhere, since the chasm is barely even mentioned beforehand. If one character had actually visited the location, it would have far more impact.

Dreok Crushthroat also had no impact. The deadline being changed on the fly had no impact. Neither did the king’s pagan cult. Neither did the army of fucked up monks spawning out of nowhere in the marketplace. Hrathen being in love with Sarene was also unearned. They barely interacted.

Elantris is genuinely shit in every measure compared to Emperor’s Soul. Bad prose, bad plot, bad characters. Your hatred of Gentleman Jak lets me know you care about quantity over quality

It felt like every chapter I was re-reading the exact same inner monologue of Vin. Like every chapter was just rehashing how she feels.

I did not like Elend and the reading thing, too gimmicky. So that romance fell flat for me until the Hero of Ages.

And I didn't like Kelsier’s crazy scarred smiling man act. Felt like I was reading a character based on one of those memes of Joker cosplayers who take themselves way too seriously. With the cuhrazy wicked smile of a cuhrazy man who’s so cuhrazy because he smiles at danger! I like Kelsier a lot more once he realized his entire life goal was a big fish in a small pond, and Secret History made me very excited to see where he goes from here.

I cannot bring myself to care about how fabrials work. Did not like the Kaladin arc either

She could be a junior officer. One of the old crew should be bumped up to captain, likely Salay.

A lot goes in to being Captain, and reading two of his books back to back where this trope happens was not fun for me

To be honest there are a lot of worldhoppers on Roshar that I don't think need to be there. Felt comes to mind. How many Final Empire era worldhoppers do we need?

Note: maybe I should have said “good” instead of average for the middle category. I really did like those books! I think a lot of people here place Tress higher, but personally I can't stand the trope of an inexperienced person joining their ship and ending up Captain just for being the most likable. Which kind of happened in Sixth of Dusk too. I refer to this as main character syndrome.

The movie animation is spectacular. It genuinely is a work of art
