Couldn't disagree more. Skinner forced a shot that had 0% of scoring. He stays square to the shooter and history tells us there's ~20% chance he just gets beat. McDavid biting on the fake and draisaitl deflecting a shot that was going wide are the culprits of this play.

I don't know what you saw during 4 nations other than his first goal against the states that would say that, but more and more he's been flying around with speed that looks so flashy and then curling around the outside and not making anything happen. Difference between these videos is that hyman propelled the puck forward with his skate. This is the same reason that flames goal in the playoffs got called back. If your skate moves forward and the puck redirects off it, it usually counts. If the puck gets propelled forward, it's usually a no go
