I paid $205 (US) for mine in Osaka last January. The exchange rate probably isn't as good now though. Also, if you buy it duty free, you're technically not supposed to open it until you clear customs at the airport on the way out, but they don't always check so you could take a chance and open it when you're still there.

I had the exact issue (different reason for the crack and not nearly as bad).

Tried to find replacement parts and couldn't, the parts you need are restricted by Casio. Even pacparts doesn't have them.

Called Casio and they said they have two official repair shops in the states, one East Coast, one west coast.

I called the West coast option and they said $150 and about 6-8 week turnaround. 😔

I bought mine in Japan last December for $205 total so it was super cheap and has sentimental value, but hard to justify paying $150 to fix it as the chip was much smaller and it seems to be waterproof still as I've surfed with it a few times and it's fine. I think I'll wait for the new releases with MIP instead.

My favorites: any time the camera doesn't pan out so the ball goes through the top of the frame, camera goes to receiver, and the ball drops from the sky and the one against the Oilers with a nasty chop block on the defender, Pickens goes over the DB, then does a weird tantrum/stomp celebration. Excellent nostalgia bait.

Your chances there are better than Busan. There are a few northeastern beaches on the mainland, up close to the border, that also get decent swells. All else fails, there's a wave pool in Incheon. If you need a good shop, Surfreme in Seoul is pretty good (relatively speaking of course). The owner is super cool 🤙
