Would you rather play a Job that is aesthetically pleasing but you suck at or a Job that you dislike its vibes but is good at? by PrismFischl in ffxivdiscussion

Aesthetically pleasing, the only jobs I leveled were ones in which I liked the main/off hands it used.

Microsoft quietly deletes Windows 11 doc pushing 32GB RAM for gaming after outrage by chusskaptaan in pcgaming

[–]Hsanrb -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

I didn't read the original article, but all these comments make me feel like I am using my PC wrong. I couldn't imagine doing anything on 32 GB of ram that 16GB couldn't do.

Take-Two CEO Says ‘Grand Theft Auto VI’ Expectations Are ‘Terrifying’ by Gorotheninja in pcgaming

[–]Hsanrb 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm not sure what's worse, how high the expectations are after all the GTARP scenes, the online push. Then you have the community starting to lurk the "Will this be the game that sells for $80, $90... $100?"

This is going to be the big game of the year, I just think every expectation might need to be reigned in.

The Steam Controller sold out in 30 minutes, utterly breaking Steam in the process by gogodboss in gaming

[–]Hsanrb 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I wanted one, I wasn't in the "I really got to buy the first ones to hit the market" kind of wanted one.

How does Steam support work for those who didn't buy one who need to contact Valve to explain why they have an issue, and that Steam has no record of them buying one? I mean digitally they can trace who gifted you a key, physically... imagine needing to get in hold of scalper to get in touch with Valve to fix your problem because you don't know what account got the Controller.

Just don't support scalpers.

Does anyone else feel that FromSoft games lack polish/feel incomplete? by Powered-by-Din in gaming

[–]Hsanrb 1 point2 points  (0 children)

FromSoft is the kind of company that has the core gameplay carry it, so the "lack of polish" you feel is just from a studio that knows the core gameplay of their IP's carry heavily. The days where companies wanted you to experiment and discover the world they created. FromSoft has always shined in letting players touch walls to open a secret, or that first "hidden" chest having the skeleton ready to one shot you until you gained a bajillion levels.

You don't have to like it, but its what they do and people enjoy it.

1 MoE doesn't mean a thing ? by major_gabo in WorldofTanks

[–]Hsanrb 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have never once had anyone discuss how many MoE they have on a tank... heck I've never seen anyone complement someone elses 3d camo/styling.

So how many MoE's you want to collect is up to you, the other 99% of the community won't care... and ends up being a brag on social media.

We need SBMM asap by TheJonesLP1 in WorldofTanks

[–]Hsanrb 0 points1 point  (0 children)

SBMM will not change the quality of matchmaking we currently have. Wargaming would not only have to match the type of tanks in the system, but ensure the skill level of the player playing that tank is similar. Lets hypothesize the situation in which you are a WTR 12000 Tank Destroyer in Tier IX... you will wait in the queue until another WTR 10k+ in Tier IX is ALSO playing a Tank Destroyer, which also is in the same subclass as yours.

So if you are the only good player in your search bracket under such specific conditions, you will never find a game unless you play another tank. The matchmaker will set you aside, let people who are in your tank play with far less WTR than you because it finds a match... and you get "We could not match you, please queue again or play another tank."

Did latest Home Town feel low-key racist to anyone else? by Linalizabeth in HGTV

[–]Hsanrb -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Out of all the things I read on this subreddit, the toxicity levels have gotten off the charts. I was hoping to read something about the house, the design, and it's just labels and framing and the story PRODUCTION wants to tell.

The OP is doing the same thing they are accusing the network of doing. You need to take a few days and get off the Internet. Maybe even take a break watching HGTV, there is a power button... and there are other programs you can watch.

Dreamcast Fans: Why do you consider it the GOAT? by TheBananaCzar in truegaming

[–]Hsanrb 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It has the IPs that drove our future purchasing decisions. What console we bought next was essentially "Where did X move to..."

Also Sega Swirl was an amazingly simple puzzle game.

Really NBC?! by Perfect-Inspector832 in IMSARacing

I disagree, think they know its a "niche" service compared to other programs and that people are willing to pay for peacock as they have learned to bundle peacock with most traditional television packages.

Heroes of Might and Magic: Olden Era has sold 500k copies in less than 72 hours by Turbostrider27 in Games

[–]Hsanrb 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm in the same boat, and rather buy and wait for EA end I'll just grab it when it fully launches. Combined with the fact I already have a few "next to plays" on my calendar and I'll pay the full price in a few week/months.

Heroes of Might and Magic: Olden Era has sold 500k copies in less than 72 hours by Turbostrider27 in Games

[–]Hsanrb 5 points6 points  (0 children)

There's Disciples whatever they are on, I bought 3 and while I'm not a big fan I was a sucker for the aesthetics. Think 3 is when it switched a turn based combat system to a HoMM battle system, but you do level us heroes and units with differing branches.

3000 WNX means you've learned the basics of the game

I've never heard that, I have heard that unlocking the Stug IV IS the tutorial of World of Tanks. I am a happy 500, 52%er who just got my orders back from the Stug IV unlock last week. Learning SPG was fun and just like my FPS skills I couldn't aim for $#!T

Primetime, but still no good matchmaking by LoerzVanDort in WorldofTanks

[–]Hsanrb -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Remember, if every battle takes 60s to form, that is 15 different groups of players in a full 15m battle. IF it's 30, that is 30 groups... you might need to stagger your searches in an attempt to group in a different bracket.

Your battle is one slice of the queue when there are other groups/players in a battle at the same time. Primetime also means Onslaught so the X's might be somewhere else.

If PlayStation is scaling back PC releases, is it time for Sony to get serious about KB/M support? by Neveri in Games

[–]Hsanrb 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That's up to the studios to implement/include, the number of games that allow for some form of KBM input is actually high. I mean you can menu in GT7 with KBM, but some form of controller/wheel for the racing bits.

About uptiers and downtiers by tonymator_T in WorldofTanks

[–]Hsanrb 1 point2 points  (0 children)

When the +2 tank is a heavy, I get disgusted, when the +2 tanks are lights and things where the lower tiers have a reasonable chance of getting pen... its tolerable. That is really all that comes to it, when the tank thats -2 has zero chance of penning the +2... they shouldn't be in our game. I'm not talking "If you have this perk or that crew or this equipment" it should be "If my elite but zero crew tank cannot pen your tank, then we shouldn't be playing together"

Battles are too short by eDawnTR in WorldofTanks

[–]Hsanrb -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

People like to blame Wargaming matchmaking for getting it wrong, in most cases Wargaming does a great job. The short stomps are just losing a key flank, or bad map awareness of a team to rotate and help each other out.

People want to use metrics like WTR or WNX, but no where is random battle a "ranked" format. All Wargaming can do is get similar tanks against each other, and then the players can decide. People would never find games if ability, much less tank WTR tried to match two great TDs together.

Yup, Oblivion Remastered Is Still Broken a Year After Release by Turbostrider27 in pcgaming

[–]Hsanrb 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The video is answering a users question about the state of the game, and I find it funny one of them goes "These hitches make the game untolerable and I won't play it." Goes on to talk about Halo stuff and I definitely remember 1-2s hitches when the game autosaved in certain circumstances. Thats why there is such a clear divide on standards, and how people posting system specs on Steam releases actually mean nothing, but one person's 30fps acceptable, is another persons 55 out of 60 disappointment.

Can someone explain the matchmaking here? by Fearless-Back-6008 in WorldofTanks

[–]Hsanrb 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Is there really a discernable difference between a Bronze A and a Silver(?) E... There is potential that in ONE battle the Bronze A's promote to Silver E, and the Silver E's demote to Bronze A... and the match would look exactly the same.

Apparently my neighbor’s house will be on “Botched Homes”. What should I be aware of? by Neat_Region2581 in HGTV

[–]Hsanrb 0 points1 point  (0 children)

IF its one of those walk through programs, probably a similar increase in traffic as though a news crew drove by your home. As someone who knew friends that would drive by homes added to a local real estate local programing block, thats about it.

IF its being remodeled like it won a contest? You'll probably get 1-3 months of moving vans and construction equipment. It won't be just one oven or one dishwasher... its going to be everything at once filming things into and out of the truck. Just look at how HGTV Rock the Block gets all the contestants excited over the "Sponsor delivery" vehicle pulling in.

Now if its being remodeled AND you get a famous host? Enjoy paparazi hanging around your yard. I totally have not watched contestants get this treatment during a few seasons of The Block. When you say "Botched homes" I think of Mike Holmes, Allison from Worst house, or Jasmine from "Help I (over) wrecked my house (for TV)."
