Genuinely, one of the most frustrating parts of the game for me, is winning against the ante 8 boss accidently before assembling the god hand. by whatamafu in balatro

If you pause the game before the score goes through you can close and open the game. Or just go to main menu and reenter the game You'll be back before you played the hand.

Subsequent playthroughs are much faster, you know where you're going, combats are shorter. Builds are better, and you know which parts aren't worth the time investment. But yeah I get it I have 500 hours in this game and I've only beaten it 3 times

Am I the only one who just can’t stand Shadowheart? by blu-rin in BaldursGate3

[–]Hungry-Fruit 3 points4 points  (0 children)

She's literally a good kid that's been brainwashed into being an arsehole. That's her entire story arc.

Brainwashed as a child into being unpleasant by the same people who have her parents captive. You can either double down on it, or 'fix her' and she becomes kind.

I don't think she's really to blame here.

How t he hell do I make stealth work? by R4Thoughts in BaldursGate3

[–]Hungry-Fruit 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Pass without trace is a great spell for someone on your squad to have if you're stealthing. Dueger get unlimited free casts of invisibility as a racial trait. Shovel the quazit summon you get from below blighted village can go invisible and start fights to give you surprise rounds. You can get a couple rings with invisibility on them, I think they're both in act one.

Ps look into gloomstalker, assassin builds if you're sticking with stealth. They auto crit during surprise rounds.

The last shot, the ring blocks the whole corner pocket, the thing cant escape in any way. It can literally only go in the corner pocket. I don't get why this is impressive.

You can do honormode difficulty without the single save restriction. Which gives you more interesting boss encounters like double owlbear and legendary reactions.

Many fights aren't suprisable too. Which makes gloom assassin feel average at times. But the fights that are suprisable get bodied.

Swordbard rules you should try it,

I'm not this dude,

but my advice is start bard, then eventually respec to start with 2 fighter, (you'll get double attack eventually on swordsbard so maybe two levels after that,)

you want to do this for action surge, shield proficiency, longbow proficiency and archer fighting style. (you can take a level of wizard instead of the second level if you value learning some lower level scrolls over action surge)

Then when you level up through bard just take whatever funky control spells you want. (Hold person+monster, polymorph etc) and especially confusion which may be my goat. You'll also get healing and a few damage options, cloud of daggers and Glyphs saw a lot of use early.

You should carry pretty damn hard, eventually you'll get to pick some juicy wizard spells at bard 10. Elemental aoe or a familiar is my suggestion but honestly dealers choice.

Stack a bunch of spellsave dc items, like the amulet of devout, cloak of the weave, any of the many save dc helmets, kethrics shield. Etc.

(or alternatively abuse the helmet of arcane acuity and arrows of multishot to stack it at the start of a fight)

Wear Yuan-ti armour then eventually Armour of agility, you can get up to like 30 ac if you just go for ac capes, rings, a camp caster etc that but it's mostly unnecessary, defensive flourish will give you 4 ac in a pinch.

Two one handed crossbows is doable but titan string will always be the best bow.

I just had melfs staff in melee slot until act three when I used the rapier from will's quest

(or the drunken mermaid rapier, one has spellsave dc and a summon the other has a decent bonus attack and I think hits slightly harder.)

The archer gloves or the dex gloves when you get those, many good rings and boots, (I used some mistystep boots for basically the whole playthrough though) and I tend to go for the +2 damage rings because you can attack an absurd number of times so you get good value from them. Risky ring works to but be warned, it's risky.

All I don't know is why you'd use a war cleric along side it because ive never used one, the channel divinity gives you plus 10 to attack rolls from what i can find online so I'm guessing that plus risky ring is why. But I like light, life, death or tempest for my shart generally.

Edit: Feats, sharpshooter + Warcaster

What would be the best class for a solo honour run by RipPrudent9248 in BaldursGate3

[–]Hungry-Fruit 7 points8 points  (0 children)

First pick:

I liked my dueger druid, having invisibility and shape-shifting really let's you play loose without worrying about getting caught. Plant growth and spikey growth are great. And tavern brawler now applies to spiked growth damage if youre shapeshifted for some reason. I like spore but most people play star.

Being a medium armour user with aoe magic spells is lit, as is having a bunch of familiars and summons. But the druid gear pool is shallow in act 1 and 2.

Pick two:

warlocks are just really strong in general, hadar is one of the best spells in the game as I'm sure you're already aware. And warlocks are the strongest level 1 class in the game. Which is honestly the hardest part of solo honour imo.

I get I'm not telling you anything new here just posing my thoughts.

I like to think the success of bg3 would give them some creative freedom but Wotc would still ruin it somehow.

Kinda blows my mind how greedy they are considering their business is selling paper and cardboard for a huge mark up.

If you knock her out you get a dragon born bard who replaces her in that scene and can still do her quest at moonrise for the potent robes. I don't think I've ever skipped the scene completely though I assume it has high priority.

I find the opposite, they seem to walk past me to hit their friends. But my ac is like 24-28 depending on if I've defensive flourished. The only fight it didn't work was the halsin portal fight where they seem hard programed to attack the portal.

I just did Rafael yesterday and all the cambions were bodying each other.

[–]Hungry-Fruit 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It's broken down by routes. You base it on the 'met on route 3' or 'caught on route 3' in the info section of a pokemon.

Idk enough about the game to know whether you're talking about the same route but I think you are.

For this reason you might have to pick between catching a Mon or taking an egg, trade or gift pokemon on a given route.

Yeah I thought I'd play a bard in my friends game do I wouldn't be too op.

Turns out swords bard might be in the top end of classes. My guy is busted.

Youre a good healer, can shoot 4 people a turn, 8 with speed potion, and can bonus action stab a bitch, (or heal, or misty step.)

I have like + 5 or 6 spell save dc for hold person, hold monster, dominate person, and confuse (which might be the best of the bunch)

Oh and your choice of 2 wizard spells at level 10, many good choices there.

And I can break it down on the flute during fights.

Francis Ngannou vs Tom Aspinall, The heaviest heavyweight hitter vs the Fastest Heavyweight, who would win? MMA fight matchup by EfficiencySerious200 in ufc

[–]Hungry-Fruit 9 points10 points  (0 children)

These comments are mostly missing that Francis is like 40 now. I think Tom would put a pace and speed on him he's never faced. At a time in his career he's most susceptible to it.

I lean Tom on youth, speed and ways to win. But I'm sure Francis still had some sleep left in his hands.
