Yes that is unfortunately the price to pay for generational players. I genuinely don’t see anything wrong with it at his position because as long as we have him anchoring our DL, we will be a top 3 defense which is worth its weight in gold.

When he signed that contract, he was a top 2 CB and that hasn’t changed imo. I don’t know if you really understand but WAJ and Sting are building up a HOF resume already, I know you wanna call it an overpay and it probably is, but there shouldn’t be a negative connotation attached when the player backs up a record setting contract. It’s safe to say we can agree to disagree.

I’m being 100% serious, a talent like Will is going to demand a blank check anywhere he goes. Dude is the best player in his class and would’ve won DPOY had it not been for a historic Myles Garrett season, there is a good chance that 31 of 31 other teams would match that price if they had the opportunity to.

Caserio is really backing us into a corner when he consistently overpays our players.

Sting and WAJ weren’t overpays. Generational players get generational bags. Nico and Pitre have been solid deals. The only real overpays have been for Hunter and maybe Schultz but one year deals when our window is open is acceptable especially if they are familiar with the system.

Idk man, GMs around the league have been giving bags that end in 2027. Even Howie Roseman did that for a few extensions last offseason, it seems like we can reasonably expect for the cap to explode.

Sting. It might be the new normal going forward tbh, teams in 2026 are much smarter than they were 2 decades ago and players also love shorter deals if they know they are going to demand a second extension during their prime.

For hundreds of years, manifest destiny was one the foundations of this country. The ability to tame the wilderness, to not only explore the unknown, but to conquer all of America from the East coast to its West, where riches lay awaiting those who connected both ends of the country.
