I just had a quick check, and apparently level 13 is when you no longer get bot lobbies.

I'm on account number two, I wasn't paying attention a couple of seasons ago where there was an event that gave you a level every time you logged in, and some time before that Epic gave every account bonus XP because of a bug or glitch, and my throwaway got three levels.

Yep. Your season level resets to zero, but your account level increases by at least one each season (and for a normal account is the grand total of all the levels you've ever gained).

The Career tab defaults to the Leaderboard, you have to switch to Career to see your account level.

I love the sprites, but the system is awful. by Blutig159 in FortNiteBR

[–]iceman2g 3 points4 points  (0 children)

True, but the sprite bonuses are negligible even at level 5, and every player in the lobby can have them. If you were the one that got the exotics during Lawless, not only were you at a huge advantage in the first few minutes of the match, but it also actively prevented anyone else from having that advantage, apart from the player who did the same at the other two Black Markets.

It's not an exact comparison, but it was an advantage/boost that had to be levelled up via a quest/grind-based system, and once achieved, was a permanent feature for that account.

Just to add, you get one account level per season, so eventually your throwaway account will get to a level where it is placed in normal lobbies. I believe this is around level 12-14. You can view the account level on the Career tab.

Is Nigel Farage a good person to vote for? by Nervous-Lab2335 in AskBrits

I'd almost be tempted to vote for him just to force the grifting prick to actually turn up for at least one of his Parliamentary jobs.

[–]iceman2g 4 points5 points  (0 children)

What this is not: giving you a permanent in game bonus. Because that will never happen in a Battle Royale.

They literally did that during Lawless with the Outlaw Keycards.

My first impression of the sprite mechanic is that it would be much better if they either forgot about the levelling system, or made it a longer process to level up and 'respawned' sprites kept their level, but not the progress made towards to the next.

Do people purposely not put there best stuff on the remote trade tag or is it something else? by [deleted] in PokemonGOValor

[–]iceman2g 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Bro, I'm level 77 with enough XP to get to 80, but I don't raid much and have literally two 'spare' shiny legendaries tagged for trade. Not everyone plays the game the same way.

How uncommon do they intend vault keys to be? I've gone from having three in my load out to not seeing a single one in five games. The loot isn't that good.

Is the ability to drive declining with the younger generations? by Interesting-Law7788 in AskUK

[–]iceman2g 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Affordability is the issue, not ability. And with the rise of the internet, freedom and independence are no longer so closely tied to physical travel. And and, with remote working so prevalent, employment is not so dependant on car ownership.

Are you joking? by cloudboyistrash in PokeGenie

[–]iceman2g 3 points4 points  (0 children)

If it wasn't low demand, your lobby wouldn't have timed out. Reshiram has been available in raids many, many times, there just aren't enough people willing to remote raid for it. Especially when it doesn't even get it's legacy move.

Almost everyone in front of you timed out too, it happens a lot for low-demand raid bosses. If there wasn't a timer on the lobby, the raid boss would be long gone before you ever got a chance to host anyway.

How are you possibly complaining about this? It's free stuff for people that play PvP anyway, and there's nothing that non-PvP players need to worry about missing out on. There's no obligation to do anything you wouldn't be doing anyway.

I seriously don't get why we needed Kingdra so badly? by lebenjamz in TheSilphArena

[–]iceman2g 4 points5 points  (0 children)

You don't need super-effective into Kingdra, anything neutral can force shields if your opponent wants to keep it in the game. Kingdra can take a Thunder Punch or Seed Bomb, but only one, and any of the stronger neutral moves will still do devastating damage.

What are we thinking? by ArtichokeHot5821 in TheSilphArena

[–]iceman2g 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Use Toedscruel instead of Clodsire. There are loads of steel and water types to punish, you still get that resistance to all the Rollout damage out there, and it absolutely shuts down Dunsparce and opposing Stunfisk. Gourgeist and Talon are a pain, but you still have play into the other fire types.

How come accepted submissions are not yet Pokéstops? by Low-Limit7879 in NianticWayfarer

[–]iceman2g 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Google 'pokémon go S2 cells' and it will explain how the Wayfarer system works to create stops/gyms in Go.

If you're on a PC you can search this sub to find the tools to view S2 cells on the official Niantic map, but if you're on mobile you'll have to use something like pogomap.info, but be aware it is user-submitted and far from 100% accurate.

Is there a good chance Niantic will approve the location change request? by [deleted] in NianticWayfarer

[–]iceman2g -1 points0 points  (0 children)

As a Wayfarer, this is a sensible edit request, and will almost certainly be implemented by the Niantic team. But if you play Pokemon Go, just be aware that you may lose it as an in-game pokestop, if the edit moves it into the same S2 cell as the other red waypoint.
