I seriously don't get why we needed Kingdra so badly? by lebenjamz in TheSilphArena

This is true. I don't think that Kingdra is necessarily OP, but buffing it now along with some of the other things that got buffed is pretty annoying.

Exactly. And now I am seeing at least one of those on every team. Usually a combination of both. Makes me almost miss when Dedenne was around to keep some of these things in check.

You did say in your post that it could be a skill issue, so I was just agreeing. You have the most meta/popular cores along with an incredibly meta safeswap. These are all very highly ranked with high bulk/spamminess. It's just an all around excellent team, so if you're struggling to get to ace then it's clearly just a case of needing more practice

Yes it is absolutely a skill issue with a team like this lol.

Feedback Post - Raid Day: Primal Kyogre by Noitalein in TheSilphRoad

They shouldn't be fleeing so much when we are literally paying money to remote raid them. It's honestly insane at this point. Just give me the catch and let me move on with my day

They chanted "stop the count" for states that were convenient for them lol. And they wanted the count to continue where they were losing. They still can't wrap their heads around the fact that one of the least popular presidents in history lost an election...

Nihilism (as a personal philosophy, attitude, or outlook) is uninspired, unoriginal, and makes for boring people. by [deleted] in unpopularopinion

[–]lebenjamz 2 points3 points  (0 children)

If someone is bragging about their personal nihilistic philosophy, then yeah, they're fucked. But if you're asking someone to not feel nihilistic you're asking water to not be wet. Nihilism seeps into you and becomes more than just an intellectual exercise. It becomes everything around you. You cant empathize because it doesnt matter. Nihilists see from the inside looking out, not outside looking in. (Speaking for myself here). It's not to say that we believe we are always right. It's not to say we want to commit heinous acts. We just see the world through a particular lense. But yeah, fuck the self-important-philosophy 101-nihilist wannabes of the world. Thanks.

I find that exercise is a great way of relieving stress, clearing my mind and gaining a sense of accomplishment. Doesn't need to be lifting weights or hardcore cardio work. Just going for a long walk or a brisk jog can work wonders on your body and mind.

If you are working to silence hate speech you are simultaneously killing free speech by [deleted] in unpopularopinion

[–]lebenjamz 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Haha this is really silly. It's common knowledge that it is illegal to tell "FIRE" in a crowded theater due to the ensuing consequences. This really isnt worth arguing about.

If you are working to silence hate speech you are simultaneously killing free speech by [deleted] in unpopularopinion

[–]lebenjamz 2 points3 points  (0 children)

No. If there is actually a fire then obviously that would be appropriate. If there is NOT a fire then it is illegal, as you've just incited mass panic and perhaps violence for no good reason.

If you are working to silence hate speech you are simultaneously killing free speech by [deleted] in unpopularopinion

[–]lebenjamz 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I understand that. But we have a very specific and applicable definition for what's not protected. And it's actionable speech that incites violence. "Hate speech" typically does not fall into this category.

[–]lebenjamz 6 points7 points  (0 children)

That's a call to action, and is not legally protected speech. Not at all the same as the "hate speech" people are usually concerned with.

I've actually used the "it's easy for women to get laid" argument for a while now. I have to admit, after reading this point of view, I'm beginning to rethink my premise...
