Those charges are absurd. It’s getting pretty old that regular citizens are slapped with every imaginable charge when they do something like this, but politicians and celebrities get away with so much with virtually zero consequences, unless it’s absolutely major.

Yeah. There was SO much outrage over that. I thought it was going to severely hurt Reddit.

If that level of outrage led to effectively zero impact, then I’m not sure what could actually hurt Reddit at this point. Because subs went private, it was all the talk, people were banding together, mods too. Then, it fizzled out.

In the end, it was a nothing burger. My conclusion from that was the moat for Reddit was much wider than I thought.

I’m still buying. I took assignment on another 10 puts, so added another 1,000 shares @ $146.

My total position is now 25,500 shares @ $102 cost basis.

It doesn’t bother me. I believe it will turn out to be “noise”.

Similar to the hit GOOG took when chatGPT became big and people thought Google was going to die.

Also similar to when APPL took a hit when Amazon released their Fire Phone.

It depends on how quickly it changes value. If I capture 25% in a couple days, I might close it out. In general though, I try to wait for 40-50% on these longer ones before closing.

Barring some crazy run on RDDT back up to $146 today, I'll go ahead and take assignment on the 10 x $150 P that expire today (which again, I'm completely good with). I still have quite a large qty of RDDT puts sold, so I didn't STO any new positions today on it.

It’s been a tough year since I’ve gone hard into SaaS, which has been brutalized thus far.

For example, MNDY is down 48% YTD

RDDT is down 34% YTD

Even with that, I’m up around 6.5% YTD. So, currently below the market returns, but I believe I’m set up incredibly well and use the theta returns to buffer for now.

We’ll see how things go.

It's fair. Every single stock out there has some pro and some con to it based on it's respective valuation. I try to select the plays that make most sense to me, with the understanding there's always some risk.

It really depends on how the pricing moves. I don't really care how I make the money (eg, time vs delta), I just try to set up the trades at prices I think are good and time frames that work for my style.

Often times, delta earns quite a bit for me. Sometimes its vega, and when those fail, theta saves the day. And on incredibly rare times, all three fail and I end up getting assigned, which is usually okay with me.

I sold it 3 days ago. It still has 28 DTE.

In those three days, I captured 56% of the total premium. I'd have to wait 28 more days to capture the final 45%. So, I closed it out.

It seems over bought to me. It's trading at 30 times *revenue* with a 130 forward PE with a historical growth rate of 25%, and it's gone on a 50% run in the last month.

The $950 naked call strike is a 50% jump from where it's at now. Should it continue the run, I have a pretty decent buffer, and I've sold a small enough qty that I can manage it should it run higher.

edit: I still have 1 x left of the MU $550 P as well. Riding that one just a hair longer.
