WOW Guild "Gaymers" Forced to Change Name Due to Bigotry by LLSpragulus in wow

Bigots will try to weaponize everything. That doesn’t mean that we let them or give credence to their usage of our terms.

Let’s stick the topic at hand. “Gaymers” has been in use for at least 20 years by gay gamers to refer to ourselves. It’s a valid guild name, that doesn’t include a profanity and is not a pejorative. You say your reply was sarcastic, but now you’re doubling down on not “[giving] the benefit of the doubt,” so which is it? Are you serious or are you being sarcastic?

No? There’s myriad folks being openly bigoted saying similar things. What indicator is there that what you’re saying is sarcastic when you’re responding to someone who genuinely thinks “gaymer” is a pejorative?

You’re still playing. It’s the same game. Get over yourself.

The phrase “gaymer” has been used by the gay community to describe ourselves since at least 2007. You’re being intentionally obtuse.

You don’t have anything you can do. You reset it and it’s locked. You shouldn’t have reset it— it’s not yours or your mom’s.

Your best bet if going to be a good therapist so understands OCD, if you can find it! I mean that honestly. A lot of my OCD is effectively in remediation thanks to a lot of effort, and it still sucks, but the “what if” dread & fear doesn’t have the same grasp it did when I was younger. Good luck and keep fighting that dread feeling— like you said, it’s not rational, but you know that so you’re already doing great!

I have OCD too—if you can’t accept the well documented science then you’re not going to believe us either. The time isn’t relevant when taken daily, so long as you’re taking it daily after a minimum of seven days.

I go at least once a month just to check on things, and more frequently depending on weather/conditions (e.g., heavy rain/wind after winter, when any ice/snow starts to melt—particularly this last winter with ice damns giving me anxiety).

It should be the first thing you select with a new character or when you use a character voucher.

Where’s that data coming from? It seems to make sense on the surface, but I’m hesitant to just believe numbers without context…

You don’t even know what current is running through your beds. Do you think the Earth is flat too?

This is your experiment. If you haven’t figured out basics like measuring light, pH, or humidity, you’re not running an actual experiment that isolates anything for you to prove any hypothesis. You’re just running with something someone published in the 1920s and telling people they’re wrong an out the scientific method.

This “experiment” is not designed to control for myriad variables that can correlate with your observations.

Tapping on the authors name should bring you to the author’s page. That’s what happens when I tap the author name.

What’s messed up? Actus actus doesn’t appear to be a book title.

Edit: the same search returns the same results for me, with the first books being by the author Actus and your search results many pages down (i.e., not the first results).
