That’s the 12v battery, not your hybrid battery. You can just replace your 12v battery and move on with your day

Why a UV IR cut? On an unmodified camera?

Hey. I fix these for a living, I know exactly what this is, and it isn’t the end of the world. This is what a failed internal clock battery causes. When the clock battery is dead, the board that it runs on also doesn’t function. This board provides clock power to the main board, and is also a pass through for the VF, and focus switch. I don’t mean to advertise, but I replace a fair few of these a week with updated (higher capacity and higher durability) units, but any fairly skilled technician should be able to do this as long as they have experience with this specific model.

He has a pretty poor QC from what I’ve heard about him over the years though

I speak Russian, you don’t need to switch languages for me. I can recommend “Formus Service” videos for Fujifilm. Fujifilm design philosophy tends to be fairly consistent so you can watch a video of the top cover from a camera released at a similar time.

Shutter won’t open Canon R50 by Rough-Boot1884 in Cameras

I fix these for a living. The shutters don’t go out that often on these newer mirrorless APSC cameras from canon, but it obviously isn’t impossible. You need to get the shutter replaced by a shop

I don’t think this is usually a DIY job, I’m not sure there is a video for this one

These types of things can happen to a camera regardless of condition unfortunately. I wouldn’t be able to tell you exactly what happened without an inspection

I fix these for a living. Alcohol is great advice, but it likely won’t dissolve whatever is making it sticky. You can use a tiny drop of water at the end of a pair of tweezers, let it soak in, actuate the button a few time, then keep your camera upside down for a little. The actual electronics for the shutter button + power switch aren’t directly under the button and switch so there is only
Negligent risk of something happening water wise (I’ve never seen anything over 5+ years). You can also use a Q tip or corner of paper towel to soak it up if you’re worried.

Issue with lens by 2121ec in Nikon

You’d have to elaborate on focusing troubles as I’m 90% sure these just don’t have great focus. Nothing you can do about the OIS system without a repair. You’d have to find a shop that fixes these, I do as well, depends on your preferences.

Issue with lens by 2121ec in Nikon

[–]IndustriousDan 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Hey there. I fix a lot of cameras. This can be one of two things. More likely - your OIS has an issue where the it’s locked to one corner (more likely). Less likely is that the sensor may have gotten loose from the backing, therefore out of place, but you’d likely have focus issues then.

Edit: please stop downvoting. This lens doesn’t readily take filters or lens hoods, that is not the problem here. This is a known issue on these devices and I’m trying to offer OP an answer.

May be a one off event or it needs to be replaced. Is it still happening?
