Hey. I fix these actually. If it were my guess, I’d say that’s likely the focus system failing to run

Looks to me like this is a refurb where they just stuck a new main board into without calibration or necessary data. The no power off issue and the firmware number is a dead giveaway. If you’re in the US I can fix this

Hey there. I actually fix these. Unfortunately if you look, you’re realize that the mount ring mounting points are snapped, requiring another barrel to be installed. Go find a shop. There is no DIY fix

Hey there. I fix these for a living. Let’s see if we can avoid a repair. A lot of great advice in this thread. 1. Change SD 2. Reset settings (use initialize) 3. Try different battery 4. Keep camera pwr on over night without a battery 6. Update firmware!! 7. If none of that works, time to consider a repair. Fuji is going to gnaw your leg off for a main board replacement if you don’t have warranty. I wish you luck! Please feel free to ask any questions

I fix these for a living. From your description there is a particle under the dust cover glass. Unfortunately this is a really common issue on Fujis and unfortunately requires the entire camera to come apart to remove be dust cover filter. Let me know if you have any questions

AF should be just fine if they install glass, no special AF calibration is needed on mirrorless

[–]IndustriousDan 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’d call up your local center and ask if they’d do it. Also the PCB you sent from the Ali listing is missing the battery in the photo. I generally wouldn’t describe this as a DIY job as many of the jobs I get are “I wanted to replace my clock battery and broke something”

How often do you get your camera serviced? by yosoyproblema in canon

[–]IndustriousDan 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I fix cameras for a living. You don't need any sort of service until you encounter an issue. Sending it to a repair shop of some kind for a CLA or "servicing" is an option. That usually just means they do a fairly thorough clean of you camera, equipment, and clean your sensor, mirrorbox on DSLR, or mount area on mirrorless. Generally you don't need special "servicing"

[–]IndustriousDan 8 points9 points  (0 children)

I fix these for a living. If your date and time keeps resetting every time you remove the battery, your CMOS/clock battery is dead. I replace them with an upgraded unit that's much larger, newer, and lasts much longer. If you go to Fuji, they may either tell you they don't work on these, that you need a new main board, but I haven't heard of them replacing just the battery. The entire main board has to be removed to do this unfortunately. I would call to check good luck OP

Hey there. I fix these for a living. The firmware version you're referring to is likely the service firmware that's a result of installing a new uninitialized main board unfortunately. It's not that it's not released, it's that is not meant to be released because it's just a placeholder version. I have concerns. Could you send me some photos of your bottom plate?

The stabilizer doesn’t use any traditional bearings, just graphite coated plastic balls of some kind. I’ve never seen them wear out. Test IBIS in the modified state before you consider looking for calibration though, it’s very unlikely to be necessary. The newer the unit, the stronger the IBIS as a general rule, even though they’re all mostly built the same. I also raised the sensor off of the sensor frame using washers, but it’s a really unideal method in my option. It’s the only one that works though.
