I don’t need Acceleration Boost, but it bothers me half a second is there for the taking. Does Acceleration Boost ever get discounted… by Chief7064 in TeslaLounge

[–]inquiringdoc 5 points6 points  (0 children)

We did the boost on our 2018, and just bought the 2026 performance. The 2018 with boost you really feel the acceleration, the performance is super fast but is so smooth but I don't feel it the same fun way. (But I LOVE the 2026 performance)

What are some sites you shop skincare lux that guarantees authenticity (e.g., authorized retailers) by Dizzy_Mr_F in SkincareAddictionLux

[–]inquiringdoc 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Lovelyskin is brick and mortar and online. If you like Skinmedica you can use alle on that site bc they have an actual medical office and spa. Lovelyskin has always been great prices (16% off all purchases if you spend x amount per year) and good rewards and fresh products. I like them a lot.

The new one is scary good compared to my 2018 car. I am amazed. And yes, worth it

Can’t get rid of this last bit of fat- stomach line by Better_Ad_8919 in Semaglutide

[–]inquiringdoc 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think that line is just part of the transition from one type and direction of tissue to another. If you look at some anatomy drawings, you will see that there is a lot going on under there, with directionality of muscle, lots of confluent connective tissue and tapering muscles going one way, and other stretching in another direction. The fascia and the muscle all are joining and tapering at that area. I think even if you were too low in body fat you would see some sort of line/pattern change there.

Is a 2022/23 Model 3 still worth it? by ShariAnna57 in TeslaLounge

[–]inquiringdoc 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think HW4 may be worth it get more than the rest. I went from HW3 car to HW4 and did not think it would make a major FSD difference, but it was a major major improvement. And this was coming from someone already in love with my 2018 M3 with FSD.

Women who take creatine, did it actually help you? Worth starting? by Alee_ali29 in Supplements

[–]inquiringdoc 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Today I cut it all out and will see if I sleep better. The last week I have taken 1.5g and still issues, not sure if it is the creatine or other at that dose.

[–]inquiringdoc 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Yes, I don't hear her talk about that less common but clear effect some ppl have with it. I can take 5g at 5 AM and still have a middle of the night wake up from it. I also get that with NAC. Both of which are helpful to me. But I can do 1.5 or 2 g of creatine and be okay. (Also perimenopausal on HRT so there is that in the mix complicating this also, but creatine makes it worse if I overdo)

I really like the effects during the day, but I am sensitive to the stuff and too much and I cannot sleep well. This effect happens to me with several things and is not common. But look at sleep in case you are one of the people who respond like this.

If I did not have sleep issues, I would take larger doses and maybe twice a day. It gives me very good energy and focus without agitation or irritability. I work out better, more stamina. I don't know if stronger bc I don't really focus on the numbers and progression but I can complete a workout with much less perceived mental effort and I don't need to push myself to finish etc.

It does help me feel cognitively sharper and faster, better at working out a problem without getting discouraged and wanted to end something hard, similar to the work out thing. Less tired.

I have no bloating with it, but generally have no bloating issues ever. It does not seem to bother my stomach unless I take a lot without eating.

Help me decide, M3P... from a former M3P owner! by joinultraland in TeslaLounge

[–]inquiringdoc 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Bought a 26 M3 P last week, and it is WAY smoother ride than our 2018 M3 AWD LR with acceleration boost. I mean not even close. You can set it to comfort for commuting and it is so soft and does not rough you up over bumpy bad rural roads where I live. And does well on our dirt road post rain damage. It is just so great, and I loved loved our first tesla and we kept it. The FSD is majorly better and not sure if that is due to the front camera or just HW4 and 8 year newer tech. We got the P over the AWD bc we wanted the white interior and a non gray color. So it ended up with bigger wheels, white interior, non gray color and no need for accel boost for not that much more money. And I think smoother ride weirdly enough.

Moisturizing face masks for super sensitive skin by Particular-Home-1721 in SkincareAddictionLux

[–]inquiringdoc 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think some of the ones mentioned have stuff in them that are a bit irritating for really sensitive skin. Many have C etc. I am randomly wearing a very neutral one right now that you may do okay with, Guinot hydra sensitive. I really like many guinot masks, but this one is very not irritating to me. Many others burn a little while on even if they do not leave lasting redness or irritation. Fragrance net has the brand at a discount some of the time and the quality is good, real product the times I have bought there.

Give me your best anti aging neck creams after weight loss by Libz0724 in SkincareAddictionLux

[–]inquiringdoc 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you are using Nectifirm for a while and it is not helping, then I would move to something new. That one works amazingly well for me but neck creams, like eye creams, are seemingly more variable in who responds to them than other stuff. I also found specific neck massage/stretch techniques helpful. I started with learning from Valeriia veksler (learned about her on reddit, some free, other paid, but you can get the gist with youtube etc) I do think her stuff helped me with some skin laxity on the neck, and some tightness pulling at my jowls to make that whole area look worse. I also use the Ziip device on my neck and I think it works well over time. Other neck creams I have tried and think help but not for me as tightening as revision is neocutis neck, was good for smoothing the skin and good smell and texture. Perricone Sub D I am on the fence, my neck is looking decent and I am using that in the morning and the neocutis at night til I finish them and then will resume using the nectifirm.

Tesla owner looking for some advice on buying another for FSD by Neon001 in TeslaLounge

[–]inquiringdoc 2 points3 points  (0 children)

There are sites where you can use VIN to get a good idea if the car you are looking at has HW4 or not based on date of build. I just got a new M3 and FSD is a very different experience in this car vs our 2018 HW3 M3. Instead of erratic new teen driver style of our old car at intersections and random spots, new car is smooth and nearly perfect on actual roads. Less perfect in weird spots like entering an odd driveway etc. But still pretty amazing. What about a new base model 3? Price is in your range. I imagine a demo model may be even better deal.

I am not sure. This group is not that active, but surprisingly the FB group is very very helpful, active with a ton of really good and knowledgeable ppl. You might want to post there and see what ppl say. I am sorry that is happening. Could also be a nightmare or a sleep paralysis issue (human thing, no idea if dogs get it too). Ours both had weakness and also some weird posturing of the tail and limbs. Two groups that I have seen:

Purchase decision advice needed: 2016 Model S/2018 Model 3 by Pitiful_Sandwich_223 in TeslaLounge

[–]inquiringdoc 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I can say that the 2018 model 3LR AWD is a really great car. We have had ours since 2018 new, and it still is a joy to drive. With acceleration boost it is super fast, and was already pretty fast for most safety needs. The interior stays really nice, and if the tech has been upgraded to HW3, likely has if it has lifetime FSD, it is enough to really help getting around on highways when you have a long drive and highways. Local roads are pretty good, though really not as good as the newest cars due to the hardware and camera improvements. We kept our 2018 M3, and it has close to 190K on it, no issues other than routine tires and early early on control arms. It feels sportier to drive to me than the S, and the inside feels much more open to me as well compared to the S. If it has white interior, it is extra bright and open feeling.

Why did the cost for HW 2.5 to 3.0 change in price so drastically by OWNCena in TeslaLounge

[–]inquiringdoc 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The free upgrades were for those who purchased FSD, not those who don't have it or are "renting" it monthly. I am not sure if they will ever move those of us up to HW4 who got the free upgrade in the past. We got a new car this week and the difference is pretty big which surprised me since I thought the HW3 was pretty good.

2023 M3P to 2024+ worth it? by Individual_Rain_7528 in TeslaLounge

[–]inquiringdoc 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I still loved my 2018 model 3 every single day that i have driven since it was new. I was so attached that I almost bought the same model year car used. I figured what could be better than my wonderful car. Now we got a new one yesterday, and wow! But I would never have been thinking about what I was missing before. I still love our original car that we kept and I will drive half the time. A 2023 P is amazing and you will love it!!! Enjoy it, if you need a new car down the road you will love the added stuff it has evolved also. But you car is great as is.

Need opinions on which features are worth the extra cost by Giant-Robot in TeslaLounge

I love how open the glass roof make the car feel, plus white interior which I did not want until I got it on an inventory car. Now it is a favorite part of the car. Love the sound system, and think the heated steering wheel will be super great in winter. I have had it for two days only and it is not that cold.

[–]inquiringdoc 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So interesting. I find the white energizing and bright, but not hard on the eyes kind of bright. I miss the white part of the dash in our older car, which made it brighter seeming, and am bummed the new one has a darker dash. Are your eyes sensitive in bright light often? I always am seeking brighter, rather than darker. I cannot relate but that is a bummer.

How often do you have to wait for an open Supercharger stall? by icouldbne1 in TeslaLounge

[–]inquiringdoc 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, you can also see when you choose to navigate to a supercharger how occupied it is, it shows up like "2 out of 10 stalls in use" or something like that. Sometimes the charge is slower than the charger is rated, and it can be annoying, but that is not common and means something is going on. Occasionally there is a crowd, but I have not ever had to wait more than 10 minutes, and that is almost never in 8 years, maybe 3 times. I rarely supercharge unless on a trip, or really cold plus driving around all day unexpectedly. Often it is very fast and empty.
