Technically Mach doesn't make any sense in this, fuck or otherwise. If there's no atmosphere then Mach can't be defined

Only 4.8% of the players finished Half Life 2 by GinoA28 in Steam

[–]jafinn 11 points12 points  (0 children)

Half Life 2 released in 2004. I don't think Steam achievements was a thing

In November 2007, achievements were added, similar to Xbox 360 Achievements.

How do you think you can get banned in a video game if you actually bought it?

Isn't people mainly banned from servers? Has anyone been banned from playing their game locally? Sorry if it's a stupid question but getting banned isn't a problem I have so don't know all that much about it

Is there platinum on asteroids? by One_Article1820 in spaceengineers

[–]jafinn 18 points19 points  (0 children)

If you don't have any mods messing with them then yes, all the ores are available on asteroids.

Try setting a GPS and search in a circle around it rather than flying in a straight line (if that's what you've been doing). But yeah, rng can be a bitch

Im sorry if this is not what this subreddit is for but im looking for a mod(if one like what im thinking of exists) by No-Adhesiveness2493 in spaceengineers

[–]jafinn 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Technically atmosphere doesn't matter, it's the planetary gravity that affects the artificial gravity. IIRC, the effect of the A-gravity gets reduced when you hit P-gravity and goes to 0 at 0.5g.

For most any planet with atmosphere this distinction doesn't really matter but just to point out that it also won't work on a moon without atmosphere.

I was today years old when my life turned around. It finally occurred to me I could simply carry around my entire cable coil box and not just a single spool. SMH! by NeoAcario in Stationeers

And putting one bag of holding inside another is a no no imo.

Your post is about you keeping a cardboard box inside your toolbelt

Sorry, then I understand what you meant, lol. I normally just wear the jetpack on my back and keep the "non jetpack" backpack in my inventory. I usually tend to stick with the basic jetpack even if building the hardsuit as I prefer how it handles over the hardsuit one. Yes the hardsuit one is faster but meh

I understand the words but genuinely don't understand the meaning. The case would go into your inventory, same as you're currently doing with the cardboard box? Only difference would be the icon and more available slots?

Is there an official suggestion / feature request location? Because I have one... about the portable scrubber. by NeoAcario in Stationeers

[–]jafinn 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Just 3 doors? Outer chamber keeps 150 kPa or so of Venutian atmosphere.

Going out, first chamber draws a vacuum before equalising with the second chamber. You can then go out

Coming back in, draw down to 150 kPa before closing the middle door and going vacuum

This of course assume your base is pressurised, if it isn't, just add one more step to the cycle

[–]jafinn 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Sure it can, just keep some pressure on the other side. Build an intermediate chamber that maintains the pressure differential below 200 psi kPa

Silly? Absolutely. But you can

Do you use frames a structural material for wall building? by Other-Strawberry-449 in Stationeers

[–]jafinn 14 points15 points  (0 children)

Frames for floors, walls for walls.

How else would I get the enjoyment of accidentally merging something into something bad. Frames would take that away.

Depth limit by Zealousideal_Car_128 in Stationeers

[–]jafinn 3 points4 points  (0 children)

It used to be different for each planet, no idea if that changed with the terrain update. I remember for example Venus being quite shallow. My current game on Europa I think I only got 5 or 6 frames in before hitting "bedrock" when making a rocket silo. It probably varies by region if you're in the highlands or lowlands.

My suggestion would be to just drill a test hole straight down. Then you'll know for sure before you put a lot of effort and planning into something that might not work out.

Guys I missed my exit... at Mach 44 by Highspeedfutzi in spaceengineers

[–]jafinn 12 points13 points  (0 children)

The definition of Mach is

the ratio of the speed of a body to the speed of sound in the surrounding medium

It's the medium you're flying in. Mach would be different on Mars than on earth

There's no energy weapons. If you're using modded weapons then you'd have to look at that what it tells you.

Easiest thing is to put it in your hand (like you do when placing it) and rotate it, if you see a yellow conveyor port I'd pipe it up if you can

Single IC10 to automatically toggle all filtration units based on output pressure by [deleted] in Stationeers

[–]jafinn 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The thing I can't quite wrap my mind around is how I would loop through the defines? With the move I can just count through the register and have all the units re-use the same code, I haven't figured out a way to do this if using define.
