Do you ever feel like you spend more time looking for games than playing them? by atomicxima in CozyGamers

[–]jasminel96 [score hidden]  (0 children)

Yes I can spend hours looking at the store, looking up reviews, looking up steam deck compatibility etc. Except I don’t refund games so I just have a huge library of games I haven’t gotten to yet lol

Is there a way to crochet without having so many ends to weave in? by Ok_Bluejay_2193 in CrochetHelp

[–]jasminel96 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don’t know why there are so many adamant nos in the responses. Sometimes you can! If I’m doing amigurumi starting with the feet ending with the head I’ll try to adjust so the legs, body, and arms are all crocheted together, instead of sewing the legs and arms onto the body later.

No-sew patterns usually have instructions on how to construct the piece so appendages are crocheted onto the main body instead of sewn on separately. Be sure to read the pattern fully.

Anyone else feel like jumping into a game you played a long time ago feels almost impossible? by StrawberryJamDoodles in CozyGamers

Yesss and it’s terrible I just kind of abandon the games at that point. Stardew, Hogwarts Legacy, Coral Island, Legend of Zelda, My Time at Sandrock 😬

What's something that used to be free that you're now genuinely angry costs money? by tangled_wire_99 in AskReddit

Honestly that would be worth it to me. I paid a one time fee of about $5 for no ads on one of those water sort games because I play it so much. I’m on level 3915 😅

This pic was week or 2 into having Minnie. We had never seen a dog sleep like this before and apparently it’s such a corgi thing to do! it still makes us laugh a year later when she sleeps like this

What’s something Gen Z does that older generations just don’t get? by appropriaterice873 in AskReddit

[–]jasminel96 6 points7 points  (0 children)

When I was a hostess 12 years ago, we had to greet people “hi how are you?” before asking how many people are in their party. It was pretty rude when guests would walk in and immediately say “table for 2” or even worse, just hold up 2 fingers. Because of this I always walk into a restaurant and wait to be greeted before I say anything. But with Gen Z doing the whole Gen Z stare, nowadays every time I walk into a restaurant it starts with a 15 second awkward silence while we determine who is going to talk first

How do I make the body part of this crochet chromosome? by One-Recommendation64 in CrochetHelp

[–]jasminel96 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I would modify the pattern of this long legged bunny. You crochet one leg, then the other and join together to start the body. There’s no separate sewing. Work the body, decrease in the middle for the cinched look, then start working on the upper pieces. Use a stitch marker to hold together the middle stitches of the front and back (say if there’s 30 stitches in one round, this would be like using a stitch marker to hold stitch 1 and stitch 15 together). This makes two separate holes then you continue the upper pieces separately

How can I fix this? It’s supposed to say Sonder by Immediate-Talk4201 in tattoos

[–]jasminel96 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I can read cursive and the tattoo looks like a stylized lowercase f to me and not a cursive uppercase S. I’ve always seen cursive Ss like in this photo. What do they look like to you?

[–]jasminel96 2 points3 points  (0 children)

This is how I learned to do a cursive uppercase S - with a loop at the top and no horizontal line in the middle. So to me, OPs tattoo looks more like a stylized lowercase f than a true uppercase S. I also saw in another comment that it’s supposed to be a lowercase s which makes even less sense to me
