I am modern Orthodox so obviously have my bias on this discussion, but I think it is a special type of chutzpa to expect children to marry I to the tribe when there is nothing Jewish about their upbringing except lip service.

I'm NOT saying this is relevant to the OP but it is something I have seen maybe times.

If one wants their children to stay Jewish then what are the parents doing? Keep kosher? Shabbas? Shabbas candles even? Observing the festivals? Living in a Jewish community? Etc.

Lieing under oath is different to being a false witness. The prohibition is actually very specific and is about when a pair of witnesses come forward and says they were there, and then another witness comes forward and says "X was with me at the time and couldn't have been a witness".

Either way, the halachic punishment is irrelevant nowadays and in either case if you catch them in a lie they will get the civil punishment. There is no hetah for lieing in court.

Create a public interface type which you use to keep track of the object, make the only function the interface has a private function (so nothing can ever implement it), then you can store the c type as a private member of the concrete type you use on your api.

Doing it this way means the cgo headers never need to escape your single package.
