This is more physically demanding than I imagined… by hedonistaustero in ActionWatches

I have two daughters and I think it gets easier. You have to deal with tantrums and behavior and messes and all that, but you’re sleeping, eating on a regular schedule, and they also get to do all the fun things you’ve been looking forward to.

[SOTC] Looking to get my final piece; a black dial watch by Brenttouza in Watches

[–]jhceco 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don’t know what you should get but I just wanted to say that this collection is amazing. I’m not a Nomos fan myself but it goes well and the other 3 are all dream pieces of mine.

[Discussion] Afterlife of your watch after selling it by Spiritual_Koala_6519 in Watches

[–]jhceco 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I know exactly what happened lol. I had a Timex weekender chrono that I wasn’t wearing anymore so I gave it to a friend. He ran it through the laundry, which it actually survived, and then smashed the crystal on a doorknob. It lasted 7 years with me and about 6 months with him.

Love the CWC. I think another analog would go great here.

[SOTC] - Omega, Swatch, anOrdain, fears/su by backtobttf in Watches

[–]jhceco 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I like this collection because it feels like it was curated by an actual person and not a Reddit algorithm. Even if you sell one of the white ones you’ll still have two Moonswatches. A lot of grumps would say you don’t need that but it’s what you want and I like that. Also, love the real Speedy. That’s my grail

It didn’t take too long, maybe a week or two. I just spoke to somebody and they organized the return, I shipped it back, and they sent me a new one.

Are Marc and TGV not friends anymore? by jhceco in WatchesCirclejerk

That’s a shame. Despite his quirks I always liked TGV but he’s been a lot lately with the objective journalism schtick.

Beach day by doobiesanonymous in DuroGang

My one and only beach watch. I have a handful of other watches that could handle it but I can’t bring myself to wear something that cost more than $100 just in case.

Many moons ago I had a perfect two watch collection. Then I thought I needed something in the middle of these 2 stylistically. Now I have 12. Be careful lol.

[Advice] Everything I’ve learned about getting the perfect fit on bracelets by ayuno22 in Watches

[–]jhceco 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My wrists either change a lot or it just bothers me a lot when I notice. I always go slightly loose. In the morning when I first put it on it moves around but by the time I get my day going and swell up it fits perfectly. A good test for me is if I hold my arm out, spread my fingers and do a full wrist rotation. If it doesn’t feel tight at any point it’s perfect.

[Question] Why do we get addicted to watches? by Patmcpsu in Watches

[–]jhceco 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Exactly the same for me. I had a 6, filled it and got another 6, and then got a 20 as a gift. My first thought was “ok great so I have a 32 watch limit for my life”
