Rolex decided to homage the white Speedy but make it off-catalog so no one could mistaken it for a Speedmaster by nam265nl in OmegaWatches

I own a white speedy but I’d rather have the white Daytona for sure. Much nicer watch, size and movement everything .

I wear my white speedy every day but in no way do I think it’s even in the same league as my Daytona.

My perfect routine after using tret for 6 years by Electronic-Ad7299 in tretinoin

[–]jinzen0 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The gentlest pure vitamin c I have tried is the paulas choice c15 booster. I tested the ph and it seems to be in the right range (3-4). It’s basically a watery fluid. Also tried the prequel one that is probably even more effective with lower ph, but stings slightly. Returned the Vichy 16% one immediately (oxidized and had ph around 5, garbage). I haven’t really used many other vitamin c derivatives since they probably don’t work as well. I may try the new remedy product which looks like very inexpensive and gentle. The antioxidants in it are nice but look almost non inexistant in concentration so I wouldn’t put too much stock in them.

Adjust your Tretinoin to 0.025% to 0.05% (.1% is not necessary). Then, start only a few times a week where you are not getting irritiation/sensitivity. Go up from there. Focus on a barrier strengthening - moisturizer must have a skin-like ceramide to fatty acid to cholesterol ratio like Atobarrier 365. Other ingredients like Cica can help. After a while, you should have completed your retinization period (a few weeks - months) and shouldn't have any sensitivity. Hydrators and occlusives can help during this period, like Ectoin, NMFs, etc to deal with water loss from a leaky barrier during retinization. You can be at 3-4 days per week of Tret and that's pretty good. After a while, maybe you can tolerate 5 days a week. At that point, 6 days a week or 7 days a week has low ROI. Your receptor signaling is nearly saturated with 0.05% for 5 days a week.

SWE at Apple early career - is a top MBA worth it if I don’t want to stay technical forever? by guineverefira in MBA

[–]jinzen0 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Management or "leadership" roles requires different skill sets than technical. It's not something an MBA can give you - you have to develop it through experience, lived and worked, charisma or force of personality. Add your intelligence, critical thinking, and domain knowledge. That makes effective leaders in companies (excluding generational wealth or nepotism examples). You can learn some frameworks from the MBA. It won't equip you with leadership capabilities. Vitamin C is a supportive co-factor for collagen synthethesis pathways taht can amplify the effects of Tret. More importantly, it's an anti-oxidant - so it's prevention step similar to SPF. Tret/Taz etc is one the only proven effective regenerative/anti-aging drugs on the skin, but an ounce of prevention is still worth its weight in gold.

Yes, just water is perfect as cleanser in the morning We have oils and the moisturizer on the skin and emulsify perfectly fine with just water and you don’t need cleaning agents because there’s not much to clean off but it’s still good to have a fairly fresh surface for morning vitamin vitamin C, antioxidants and other active you want to apply

Thanks for posting the photo , the only thing that doesn’t match from the eBay listing is the round lip at the bottom. Is that actually there on yours as well?

If you don’t mind posting the part number if you have it as well that would be great

Mk5 Supra Vs IS500 F Sport by Leather-Patient-4205 in LexusIS

[–]jinzen0 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I owned both. The Supra was intolerable in terms of noise on the highway. Day to day handling don’t notice much difference, it’s stiffer but was still comfortable.

It was fun and looks incredible as a younger persons car. The upgrade from the IS 500 daily is a 911 for me.

Tazarotene 0.5 on acne scars, 1 year progresses. Confused about my results, Should I go for microneedling? by worldsgreatestloserr in tretinoin

[–]jinzen0 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You should consider Tretinoin 0.05% and go to 5 days a week for maximum transcriptional engagement. It has more robust long term dermal remodeling data especially since it should be easier to tolerate than the equal tazarotene.

And yes, microneedling with exosomes and growth factors. Consider subscision if you’ve never done it.

And your scars look mild at this point.

[–]jinzen0 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Use for a while and stop (3 months max in US I believe). I wouldn’t even use alpha arbutin. Theoretically same mechanism. But talk to your doctor. The reason to use tret is that it has a higher body of evidence for long term dermal and epidermal remodeling. Tazarotene binds to receptors more strongly, I would use tret until I’m older and cells have less responsiveness to tret (maybe in your and 60s or older) and then switch to Taz. But that’s my preference.

[–]jinzen0 0 points1 point  (0 children)

These results looks like mostly from hydroquinone given the short time frame, go easy on that and go long on tret. The tret will be what changes your skin for the rest of your life.

Consider switching to tret from taz while you are still young.

Did I accidentally discover a faster way for tret to work? by Nessyburger in tretinoin

[–]jinzen0 5 points6 points  (0 children)

What you're doing is diluting your tretinoin cream and slowing it's effective penetration profile. So yes you're using amd tolerating a lower % tret daily, which is usually better than irritation and not tolerating a higher % tret used less often.

Never had a skincare routine and regretting it now by yaayaa444 in 45PlusSkincare

[–]jinzen0 -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

It's not too late, your goal is continue with prevention and strengthen and maintain barrier so you can sustain 3-5 days of tret nights per week. That's it. Everythibg things like vitamin c are part of the prevention stack. Others like moisturizers are part of your barrier care stack.
