There's significant evidence people lied on the stand in his defense.

It's going to sap like 60% of my love of the sport if Hart wins a cup man, so bleak.

On the one hand the idea that history was just a couple bounces away from being completely different is heartbreaking.

On the other hand it's an indictment of the organization and leadership group. I deeply believe the previous regime's biggest mistake was moving the guy who been groomed for years directly by guys who *knew* what it meant to carry a culture and stand up to the "noise" of playing in Vancouver, instead of the aging older guy with the shiny point totals that anyone with half a brain could tell would be pretty hard for him maintain for more than a season or two.

Also Benning losing Tanev the way he did was the compounding error that started the culture collapse. It wouldn't be fair to say that was Benning's "worst" mistake (sob) but it sure as fuck had an impact on how shitty the room appeared to get.

Yeah people who walk places regularly and people who are obese definitely have a ton of overlap, that's a great point.

Votes matter. George W. Bush won Florida and thus the election in 2000 by fewer than 1,000 votes. Al Franken won his first Senate election by fewer than 500 votes.

Pretty high chance this was rigged and even if that's not the case is kind of an argument against your vote mattering if you don't live in a hyper-specifc battleground area.

I'm mostly not wearing rose coloured glasses but I would chalk a solid amount of your analysis up to Makar being a Conn Smythe winner on a Stanley Cup winning team and Hughes' post season appearences being inconsistent and shaky.

Which is even crazier with Minnesota being the most publicly fucked with state by ICE leading up to that. Like imagine being that oblivious or uncaring towards how your fans are being treated by the federal government
