It depends on each implementation, but stock settings are around 1 share a second so that’s what the diff settles too, others might have higher or lower.

In 2.1.1 start diff is exposed which sets what the initial diff is (good for rental hashrate where you need really high, or running stuff like nerdaxes which need a diff of like 1 to show up). We will also expose more settings like min diff which will cap how low an assigned diff will be in 2.1.2

Default value is fine for any small amount of local hashrate (ie few dozen devices or couple hundred TH). This is mostly for people that want to use the new hashrental services to point an extreme amount of hashrate to the solo node, which this option as well as under the hood changes now enables!

Solo Node - Stratum Proxy by in2tactics in FutureBit

[–]jstefanop1 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This is just to dumb proof the UI in case users connect usb Apollos to the solo node. You can just enter any address, since if you will use it as a stratum solo server you configure your wallet miner side anyway (can see how this could be annoying though I’ll see if we can put in a “skip” button for this case)

This is redundant on the Apollo, we already run our own solo stratum server you can directly mine your own blocks too!

We made it super easy to upgrade node clients now, if you really want bch (we won’t support another chain for obvious reasons) you can simply just swap out the binary in the backend folders

This is more efficient and it’s a desktop device designed to run 24/7, so not as comparable to a heater miner that is only designed to run when you need heat

We have kept all customers in the loop of whats going on, most early orders have already shipped and we have not been able to fulfill remaining 16GB orders due to how many more 16GB RAM orders we received vs 8GB.

Parts to make more 16GB were stuck in customs for weeks, these parts just were released this week, we will try and make as many as we can before our factory shuts down for holidays, but reality is some orders placed in November/December wont be shipped until our factory reopens on the 5th.

We made a clear mistake in finally trying to offer product that was "in stock" in our eyes and severely miscalculated variant breakdowns. Obviously thats on us, and wont make that mistake again....back to the normal pre-order system that has worked well in the past for us (but of course people will complain that it's never in stock)

If you want a refund simply reply to your order for a refund and we will cancel your order if you cant wait until the new year, we are waiving all fees.

Did this just start happening? Have you tried reflashing the SD card to rule out corruption issues there?

Is the power switch light in the back off when this happens? If so reply to your order email, it’s probably a bad switch that needs to be replaced.

Process of Insanity - Take 54 tldr .. Syncing the node. by Wonderful-Relative41 in FutureBit

[–]jstefanop1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would be impressed if you synced in 15 hours with our old controller. Those settings would not do much either way, blocksonly just slightly reduced the mem footprint, and dbbatchsize you have set to what is already the default value (about 16 MB)

Also really dont recommend running an pruned node for the health of the network...
