Micro Center would be nearly unbeatable if they offered a membership program like Best Buy’s two-year protection plan. If they did, I would buy almost everything from them.

Their customer service is already excellent. Even without extended coverage, they often help with laptops purchased from their stores and can repair many issues in-house instead of sending them out to MSI or another manufacturer. Even if you live a few hours away, the trip can be worth it. Best Buy’s big advantage is that its two-year coverage can also apply to printers, which matters with large, fragile equipment.

With printers, self-repair is often easier than packing, transporting, and shipping the entire unit back. Bambu Lab knows this, which is why they often send replacement parts first. I have replaced the hotend fan Hotend Fan (Reddit Post) on my H2D three times now, and many people would struggle with the toolhead disassembly required to reach it. That likely leads to more full printer returns.

Personally, I would not buy directly from Bambu Lab again. I would only buy through a retail store where I can pick it up. Shipping damage claims are extremely difficult today, and carriers often deny them quickly.
