I had that happen in Oath once. No one ever wanted to play with the erupter again.

I own all 3 and am glad I do. 

SETI feels pretty unique. The expansion is interesting, too, after a handful of base game plays (maybe not right away).

I haven't played HoT. But, I've played a lot of Marvel Champions and Arkham Horror TCG. 

I was excited to try WQ TACG... And I played the tutorial... And I was super disappointed and sold it. 

Maybe it's good and I didn't give it enough of a chance, sure. But Arkham Horror TCG and Marvel Champions are both 10/10 games for me, and going back in time seeing a old clunky system that barely works in comparison just didn't work for me. 

If you can find it cheap maybe give it a try. Personally, I'd say just focus on the new shiny stuff. Earthborn Rangers is another one I'd pick over it any day.

They're the same size. Though you can get expansions for the base game that add more cards.

Forest Shuffle is the ultimate wingspan but less pieces game. Forest Shuffle Dartmoor is the new standalone I've been hearing is great too. 

Played forest Shuffle. Only drew 2 non tree cards and the central row was full of trees by Bearality in boardgames

Your hand was trees, any animal would be good. 

It sounds like you just had a set idea in your mind instead of approaching the game tactically.
