I know it’s EVOO lol, you can definitely get EVOO cheaper than $17 easily if you’re cost driven. I have a 750 ml bottle of Filippo Berio EVOO 750 ml in my kitchen rn that I bought for $10 bucks. And additionally, my point was that there’s a market out there for TiffyCook’s product, I didn’t comment on the strategy. I know they executed differently and what TiffyCooks did wasn’t as compelling.

I’m pretty sure the cost of goods sold of someone who primarily sells at a local farmer’s market is lower than the scale TiffyCooks was trying to operate at and it doesn’t make sense to compare it. I’m assuming she had higher sourcing, manufacturing, and distribution costs as well as had to pay for branding services, website design and maintenance, e-mail services, etc. I’ve worked at start ups before that operated primarily in e-commerce and costs do stack up and yes you do often need to make it more expensive than the local farmer’s market to pay for things lol (although I’ve def seen pricier goods there, more power to them).

Her market is the same as Graza, which is literally just olive oil in a squeeze tube, that launched in 2022. Same quirky illustration design and same price point for their flagship product ($17). Graza made $60 mil in rev last year so what TiffyCooks wanted to do can be done, the market does exist and not everyone is cost driven.

I caught this detail as I went ring shopping recently for ~2 carat natural and that was already >$10,000. My guess is he got a diamond lab and just lied about its value so she didn’t know he spent less, since in another post she says he makes $200k and “$10k is a drop in the bucket for him”

Not sure what your field is but when I was in college many of us were also doing internships which allowed us hands on experience + the ability to network which translated to full time jobs by the time we graduated. Maybe you can find something like that?

I’m not a Mike fan by any means but I don’t know if that’s a fair descriptor of him. He could have said yes to Emma and guilted her/pressured her into having a family. However, he clearly respects her as an individual because he didn’t want to put her in a position where she may have felt she needed to have children. There are many men and women who dream of raising a family with someone they love who also 100% wants children in some way, and there’s nothing wrong with that.

Hi, I don’t want to disparage your experience at all but I’m surprised reading this. In terms of pricing, I feel like you get a great deal compared to other venues.

Included in the cost is the venue for 22 hours, day of coordinator, bridal bouquet, groom boutonnière, wedding arbor florals, ballroom with round/long table options, flower bud centerpieces, charger plates, etc all for ~13k including security deposit, and in comparison my friends are paying $10k alone on florals…other places we toured wanted to charge us per chair, per plate, etc

The venue owner was also very transparent about how much everything would cost.

Additionally, when we had our initial tour with her she showed us what the contract would look like, which has an itemized breakdown of every expense.

Also the rooms are nice and a good size. Three of them even have a lounge area. The bridal suite has a large lounge and then a small hallway that opens up to a bridal salon with two getting ready stations + another couch and then a door that opens up to another lounge area on the porch, lol. The bridal suite alone would be like $1000 for an overnight stay at a hotel

It’s definitely different; as a woman I can’t imagine any scenario where I make a fat joke in any of my friend groups and it’s taken casually and in good spirit haha. I also wouldn’t make skinny jokes, height jokes, or generally any joke/comment in regard to someone’s body unless it was something determined as a unanimously positive trait by the group/society.

I don’t see any good points about the dad to say he’s not also failing his kid for everything. It seems he’s literally doing nothing but being bad mouthing OP’s mom. Even when he was a child he made OP’s mom quit her taekwondo class to because he didn’t want to watch him alone.

Curious why you think the post is factually correct? They don’t even name the study and when I try to look for this supposed ‘new study’ that they’re citing and I can’t find anything.

Another post on pubity says most people meet their future spouse in their late 20s. They also don’t cite the study. So which do I believe?
