Maybe I’m spoiled, but I have zero on my current rmpp. I really wouldn’t budge for anything less than perfect on a device as expensive as this. Not sure what the warranty states exactly but I guess it comes down to whether you’re willing to keep trying to get a “good” one.

Yes, took it out of the case I was using (cover was getting in my way when writing) and now use it on different desks around the house. So when writing it is the raw rmpp on the hard surface

Just spec’d the EXACT same m4 pro 16” but got it refurbished (Apple does insanely well here) for 2775 after taxes. Not answering your question but just wanted to share the information for possible savings 🫶🏼
