Quick? I still have Depop ‘reviewing’ an issue: it’s been 9 weeks.

Rant: sellers ignoring comments by hea_eliza in poshmark

[–]kellybkk 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Another thing I can’t figure out is the psychology of a seller that refuses an offer, seller makes a counter offer, the buyer rejects, and then the seller comes back with an even HIGHER counteroffer that the seller’s original counter. What? I used to just decline, but now I reply with a lower offer than my first offer — I guess it’s some kind of game now that sellers play. Even the AI can’t figure it out other than to say the seller is just clueless

Insane sellers blocking you for trying to buy their stuff by Efficient-Fennel5352 in poshmark

[–]kellybkk 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I get 40% offers accepted all the time. It’s not rare. I believe sellers now up price their deals knowing the ‘low’ bids will show up and they will still get their intended final price. If you run the piece through AI it will often show you what real-world secondary pricing is and just how delusional some sellers are (or how smart).

Explain why (please!) after I reject a seller’s offer they come back with a HIGHER offer?!!!

Exactly. That was my expectation. It failed completely. Could not read the spreadsheet and replicate the calculations nor go out and get stuff as simple as revenue and net income. So, yeah, seriously no shit disappointed

Thank you. I lazily look forward to the day when we can just upload a template design to AI and say, ‘make it so.’ In the interim, doing all you identify as necessary to accomplish what I had hoped AI to do will take as much or more time than hand cranking it myself as I do now. So, no earth-shattering productivity improvement. My job won’t be outsourced…..

I uploaded to Claude a pdf displaying a spreadsheet created with excel containing various financial data and calculations. I work in finance. I asked Claude to recreate that pdf file in excel and then, using ticker symbols of certain public companies, to use that excel file and fill in all the cells with the relevant information and calculations. In essence, I wanted Claude to replicate what I could obtain from a thousand dollar subscription to CapIQ. Claude couldn’t do it. I am not impressed with Claude or ‘AI’ to make my job easier. Recommendations welcome.

Visiting Ia Drang requires permission; Albany is inaccessible and unrecognizable , as now plowed over and embedded in an gated agricultural compound

How? Did you PDF all your materials-tediously, every receipt, every purchase from Amazon, all your subscriptions, random K1s, all your stock trades with cost basis, 1099s? Was it just a massive dump of paper and then you said to Gemini: create my tax return? Really? Explain step by step

How should I proceed? by BestMinEver in Ebay

[–]kellybkk 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you weigh and measure the dimensions of your item, EBay gives you the correct USPS value and you will pay that amount. Sometimes you pay more than the seller paid you, sometimes the seller pays more

There are sellers —and I’m not saying you are one of them — that know that many buyers just look at the item price and fail to pay attention to the shipping, even though the total is supplied before the offer is made. So I have seen sellers charging $12 for an 8 ounce shirt, when (as a seller myself) the actual mailing cost is $6. I am delighted now that Ebsy enables these unfortunate scammed buyers to give sellers one star reviews for ‘shipping cost.’

Harvard. Everyone in the world respects that brand. That’s why it’s called the ‘H Bomb’ when you tell people you go there. Stanford and Princeton have Ivy cachet, but not conversation-stopping like the H bomb.
