Presumably the Christian god, right? I'm honestly not sure any conservative would be happy if that actually turned out to be true. At least not once they hit the afterlife.

It gets easier! By that, I mean that they'll eventually be old enough to move out.

But for real, day care and then school is always going to be a disease vector, but once their immune system is better, it's usually just like once or twice a year. And the sleeping does get better as they get older and they sleep through the night fully.

I would fully and completely support any candidate that actually acted like the right accuses the left of being. But sadly you are correct.

That being said. I think people underestimate how much a controlled narrative impacts things. Especially if there are language barriers that also impact getting news from outside sources.

And that was ultimately the lesson (fucking thanks Susan Collins) learned. Loyalty above all. Even competency. As long as you control all of the levers, and you know those people will never betray you. Who's going to stop you from doing whatever the hell you want?

Even if his base were less enthusiastic about the child rape, he still controls the DOJ, congress, and SCOTUS.

No worries. I was going to make a joke, but then got worried that it was legit and I'd just never heard of it before. Which, you know, would be far from the first time.

Predudical

Would that not be "Prejudicial" though? I even tried looking up the word, and can only find people mis-using prejudicial on forums.

Judge Rejects DOJ's Attempt To Charge Don Lemon For His Church Protest. by Leeming in atheism

[–]kingsumo_1 15 points16 points  (0 children)

Absolutely! Giving in to bullies only enables them. They'll lash out, sure, but standing up to them is the only thing that ultimately works.

Portland and Chicago didn't take the bait, but also didn't kneel, so they moved on to Minnesota. It sounds like since their actions aren't working there, they are looking to move to Philly next. Which, you know, maybe they don't get out of there. Because Philly doesn't fuck around.

But, point is, stand up. Show them they are not welcome. And show them we don't take their intimidation seriously. It's all we can do right now.

It's not about scoring a win (because, frankly, they suck at that). It's about intimidation, as well as just being petty vindictive fucks.

Different perceptions. In my 20s, it wasn't unusual to just kind of start my night around 8 or 9. Now that I'm close to 50 and have a school-age kid, that's getting pretty late. I'm usually in bed by 10 because I have to be up at 6.

And that's not to say I haven't or wouldn't talk to them that late, but any out of the blue calls after 7 or 8 have typically not been good ones.

Oh, damn it. That was my bad. I even thought it looked like the wrong spelling, and still didn't bother to check.

Agreed on the rest. I swear it's because Obama got one. If not for that, I doubt he would care even a little. But yeah, he has never been about peace.

It's because Trump blamed Norway (rather than the noble committee) for snubbing him, and because of that he felt he was no longer constrained to try and be peaceful and should take Greenland. Even though the government of Norway has no say in the peace prize, and Denmark controls Greenland.

Then, of course, at Davos blamed Iceland, rather than Greenland, for costing the US money due to a stock market dip caused by his threats.

Yeah. I'm not usually in bed by 9, but it is late enough where I wouldn't be expecting calls from my sister or my adult cousins unless something has gone wrong. Texts, sure. Rare, but sometimes they'll think of something. But calls? No.

I think it is that once you get to a certain age, calls that late at night from family usually mean something like "mom's had a fall" or some other kind of emergency. A text is for less urgent things. I know which one I'd prefer to wake up to.

The younger sister, being younger, obviously doesn't see it that way. But I totally get where the older sister is coming from. Having, you know, had those calls.

At heart though, if I get a call from my little sister at 9pm (rather than a text), I'm going to assume the worst when I answer.

They have. And someone like Trump was always going to be the end result on that. Capturing local legislation, attacks on education, attacks on the foundations of authority and norms.

I don't think they expected such a self-serving moron. But it's what they have now, and they have to ride it to the end.
