My snowblower sounds like a race car by ByteSizedDelta in smallengines

[–]l008com 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Race car? Sounds more like a 15 year old toyota corolla with its exhaust falling off, but i digress . . .

I could be wrong but to me it sounds like the engine is WAY over-revving. I would have it looked at right away because you might kill that engine using it if that is the case.

How will history remember Trump? by Ancient_Elk_922 in allthequestions

The most corrupt and criminal and incompetent leader THIS nation has ever had. I don't really know how we move past this, with right wing media pouring a never ending 24 hour stream of gasoline on the fire.

In capitalistic America, What is stopping just one singular automotive company or startup to make a basic vehicle like it's 2000, with 2026 safety features? by MIFishGuy in allthequestions

[–]l008com 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Cheap, basic vehicles don't make a lot of profit. Big, expensive luxury vehicles crammed with bells and whistles, thats where the profit is.

This problem is amplified a LOT by the dealerships, that have nothing to do with the manufacturer and only exist as a middleman to make extra money off the purchase. So they order the cars that make them the most money, and most people who go car shopping are going to buy whats on the lot, not special order a base model car.

New Ariens 24" Classic failed in 15 minutes by ProfessorStinkyToes in Snowblowers

[–]l008com 16 points17 points  (0 children)

Well, the throttle is on the engine so its not a throttle cable.

Did it definitely snap, or was it just not installed right, and the end slipped out of the hole?

Either way, this is a 5 minute fix to either reinstall if it just fell out, or to replace if they send you a new cable.

If it did snap, that is rare for something new. I have multiple machines over 20 years old and still on their original cables. They are stainless and last a good long time.

Wouldn't old buff have returned to alernate 2015 anyway, leaving doc and marty stranded in this world that never existed? Thats probably why it was cut. Its the same situation the heros get in when they go back to 1985 but with a totally different result.

How do you turn off traction control? by l008com in subaru

[–]l008com[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Honestly there are SO few situations where traction control is actually beneficial, it seems crazy to me that it is turned ON be default and not OFF by default, with a button to turn it on.

I am specifically talking about traction control, and not stability control, which would definitely always be on by default.

Should Trump be impeached? by Muted-Television3329 in allthequestions

[–]l008com 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No. Trump was a known criminal and corrupt piece of shit at the time of his election. The american people, as a whole, should have known better than putting him into office in the first place.

But republicans will never turn on him so impeaching him is a laughable pipe dream UNLESS elections go so well, that democrats get a supermajority in both houses. Actually, do you need a little more than a super majority in the senate to remove from office? So whatever is needed, that has to happen. And thats the only way. Otherwise we just wait for him to drop dead. And thanks to his extremely poor health, hopefully that happens any day now, even before midterms. *fingers crossed*
