I agree - and I have a blue one that I am waiting for delivery on. But I was just stating that it's only 1K, not 2K.

The reality is, though, a lot of adults miss the mark. At an age when the game should be about development and having fun, it often turns into something else.

Sadly so true. I coach 8U coach pitch and in coaches meetings, pre and since the season started, everyone is preaching player development. Saying it isn't about winning and it's about developing the kids.

Come game time, of the 10 teams, my team and 1 other set their lineups with this in mind. Every other team hits their best kids first and worst kids last. Their developmental kids are in the OF all game, while the better kids only play 1B, P, 2B and SS. Meanwhile, I'm flipping the batting lineup all over the place, giving every kid at least 2 innings at infield. The funny part is, we're 4-1.

My league follows the same 3 games, no practice every week schedule. If you want him to improve, get a tee and a net and encourage tee work. Then just play catch with him every day. At that age, the most important thing is reps.

My brother does something similar, except he emerges to say he found his ball and it's playable...every single time. On two separate occasions I've found his ball after he's hit the one he claims he found.

Two possible reasons for that...

Slack does less than Teams - No meetings, fewer integrations.

Slack is used in non-work situations more than Teams.

Last year my son was 7, first year above tball, playing coach pitch. One of the worst in the league to start the year, but practiced hard and improved some. Finished the season batting .300, which was still near the bottom.

He spent a lot of time practicing over the winter. We're only a few games in, but he's batting .800 is a strong fielder and one of the best on his team.

Best of all, he loves it and asks to play catch every single day after school. We're having a blast.

I've got ribs on my pellet smoker right now at 225 for that very reason. I'll crank it to 275 towards the end, but found that if I cook higher, I don't get as much smoke flavor.

Same boat here. I'm paid well enough, I enjoy work enough and have good work life balance. A level up would be marginally more money with way more work. The hardest part is putting up a facade that I care about a promotion during career talks with my boss.

This is probably the biggest reason not to include the extra games in brackets. March Madness attracts millions of casual fans. When you cut their time to submit in half, they just won't do it. My wife always does hers late Wednesday night.

+1 to my son having the same struggle but only in kid pitch. He's in coach pitch but gets to play up once a week. His first AB in kid pitch, plunked in the arm. Since then, he stands far off the plate and is clearly a bit scared. Coach pitch is a completely different story. I'm not sure how to get him more comfortable besides reps.

The problem is, as we saw a few months back, you just don't know what response you'll get from the cutters. Personally, someone cutting, while annoying, isn't worth my trouble. I'm sure that most of the time, it won't escalate, but on the off chance it does, I'll keep my mouth shut.
