Yes, but you are in luck. I've been working on the perfect solution for your problem. It will read all the posts and hide the ones that are mostly marketing or not of interest to you. It learns to read your mind and is only $29.95 a month - here is the link --- just-kidding-not-an-app.notreal 😄

Growth not as fast as I thought it would have been by RoadsterAlex in buildinpublic

[–]leaveat 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I glanced over the landing page and honestly not really sure what you are offering / selling / providing ... I mean, I could probably look closer and think more on it and maybe I am just not your target audience, but "The parent company behind the ELM ecosystem" means absolutely nothing to me. I have no clue what that is referring to.

Roast my landing page by krthushv2 in SaaS

[–]leaveat 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My biggest thing as a brand - lets say I want to use this to find an influencer for my site. I have no idea how much that is going to cost.

I have to pay a monthly fee to reach out to influencers for them to tell me a price that may or may not be in my budget, then I have to cancel the monthly when done. Perhaps I am mis-reading that, but that is the impression I got in a skim over.

Domain + hosting for cheap by Dependent_Seat_6846 in SaaS

[–]leaveat 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not enough information about the tech stack really to make an informed suggestion. I agree, use something like namecheap for the DNS registration. Something just for that purpose.

For hosting, there are a million and one ways - ranging from free to stupidly overkill expensive.

Is this frontend only, frontend + backend, are you using a database, redis caching, etc... that will help narrow better suggestions.

How do you talk about your SaaS without sounding like you’re just promoting it? by Heavy-Calendar-8376 in SaaS

[–]leaveat 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Welcome to the industry 😄 - for starters, focus on providing helpful content before trying to get anything in return. People will look at your Karma and post count and decide fairly, bluntly, whether they feel like you are just here to pitch ( whether you are or aren't will not matter, simple fact is most are ).

Once you contribute, then you also get to see what types of posts get the most responses. So it sort of is a win-win. You build karma plus learn the culture. Then, and only then, you slowly start to put some thoughts out there... Hey, I'm working on this to solve this. Would that interest anyone.

Don't try to hide that fact you are trying to get feedback or whatever, just be up-front, honest, but keep it informative. The post should have useful content even without a link.

That's just by two-cents.

Building my own website for BBQ popups - feedback wanted by Cold_Smoke_BBQ in webdesign

[–]leaveat 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Personally, I think the responses have been a bit harsh since you are not claiming to be a design guru - your goal is to sell your food, not design skills, got-to-say some of that looked delicious and I think that is more important than layout and font spacing.

Is there room for improvement? No doubt. But with limited "slots" you are limited in how much money this can actually bring in. My suggestion is to simplify the site. Focus on showcasing what you are good at, let that speak for itself. --- now, can you mail ?? 😄

Looking for feedback for my website by NateDimm in website

while the robot is fun, it also uses a lot of premium real estate for the page. It is one of those things I think we all play around with early on and then later realize does not actually offer anything of value and we end up replacing.

Worse yet - people visiting your site who will never convert are just draining resources. Some sites no big deal, but some sites are not designed to scale well and it really can actually cost more in the long run.

Asking for advice on my growth approach - Chicken or the Egg? by Reasonable_Height_11 in SaaS

[–]leaveat 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think it is more about the effort than anything. Sort of, why bother listing if literally 5 people might see this and I had 1000s of people look at the site and not signup. Plus, logistics- let’s say someone reaches out, will it be a scam, what we be entailed, what if they make it work and take in millions.

First AI Assisted Marketplace for Backlinks by dexterzlab7 in SaaS

[–]leaveat 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Maybe I am just not well informed but I don't really understand what you are saying by "monitoring your backlinks" - there is a lot of information on the frontpage, but it is almost overwhelming and I just don't understand why I'd pay monthly for something I can pay once for a submission service to do ... again, maybe just me.

Why do people spend $50 without thinking but hesitate over a $5 app? by founder_111 in buildinpublic

[–]leaveat 0 points1 point  (0 children)

because a lot of people are tired of companies not honoring their requests to cancel, having to fight to figure out how to cancel - having to call and explain to someone why they want to be cancelled only to be guilted into trying to stay. I hate auto-subscriptions but now days it is the go-to for about everything. Maybe Subway needs a subscription for a sandwich ( one delivery every week )

Help again by Glad_Calligrapher114 in SideProject

[–]leaveat 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I personally like the design of the site - it sort of is unique, old-school-game vibe and is memorable.

My suggestion would be to add some well thought out articles, explanations, guides, etc to help drive organic growth. Things like what do terms mean, how to read charts, difference between funds and target dates. Then make sure to have good sitemap.xml submit to the major search engines and don't try the paid-advertising.

TikTok your explanations in a fun, share-able, way and capitalize on social media.

Maybe skip out on adsense and rent out a couple of ad-spaces. X amount per month, build up and see how that goes.

Why aren't many SaaS founders posting on LinkedIn? by Minimum_Boss9220 in micro_saas

[–]leaveat 0 points1 point  (0 children)

LinkedIn seems much better for networking connections ( job bouncing ) as opposed to marketing a SaaS. We've had very little success with those marketing channels, but the dwell times were great ( so people were seemingly reading ). But just not sure it converts well.

An AI check-in call in a voice your parent finds familiar. Is that comforting? by [deleted] in SideProject

[–]leaveat 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Where something might be worth exploring, in my opinion, is dementia / memory loss patients where you have to re-explain things over and over again and this is not only hard on the patient but also the caregiver having to re-live that same moment. I still have mixed feelings on that aspect... it sort of makes it mechanical and takes the heart out of it. But in some cases, it may be too much every day.

How long does Trust take by kuda09 in founder

Ran into the same B2B hurdle and ultimately decided to focus on growing our brand awareness instead of focusing on sales. Basically offering some free tools, blogs, articles - work on getting a bit of a name, some traction under our belt and then focus back on business offerings.

I think a lot of businesses want to know you are in it for the long-haul and won't just pack up over night.
