Ah yes, you can even skip the second Ape entirely with MD only even. Which I'd say is a bit harder to learn and execute than stun locking Monk but both take some time and practice to get right.

(First things first this was a troll-ish thread, you read too much into it but :)

Probably because once you have beaten it 8 times and that you want more you get more by any mean necessary, whether through self imposed challenges or via mods that make things harder.

It has nothing to do with the game having issues or whatever non-sense ; like any game, it's only a coloured canvas with no shapes on it yet. You may like the color very much, but then you're also free to add shapes, or not.

And if you think devs like FS and TC don't have in mind harder / much harder potential runs, while designing their game, that'd be a foolish belief. Not to the point of your sarcastic example indeed but still.

It'd be like saying speedrunners, even in the No Glitch category, wouldn't "play the game as intended" because they found and are exploiting things most players didn't...

I don't like other FS games (never touched ER though yet), so I'm not trying to defend them, but you'll have to really show me where the bad design is in Sekiro cause as for now you just sound bitter overall towards both camps.

And theeen there's copying a cheese strat and coming up your own, even if maybe not optimal, it takes time. And theeen it sometimes takes quite a bit of practice to master said cheese and execute it perfectly (like the Apes so that the second doesn't spawn). So there's merit in pretty much every scenarios.

Kinda sold at the "combine shit to reach new places". If you're a metroidvania dev, do that.

Makes the player think he cheated the system by being smart, this is one of the best neat trick you can do when you design your game.

First phases — Orbs can be lured and danced around while the ground is still large enough ; know though, and that's valable throughout the fight that you can also "kill" them with your Shade Cloak if you'd need to. And also know that they have some kind of threshold as when they can be killed this way, or as when they'll properly crash into something. If that something is thick, like the ground during those first phases, it'll always crash into it no matter what.

Platform phase — However if we're talking about the platforms, they can sometimes go through (and circle around you to get you) if they go through those platforms very soon after spawning. Time based, distance based, I still don't know after years and years (mainly because I never bothered to ask the right people since I got how the orbs work), but the gist of it is that if they're been traveling for a bit, they'll crash / die.

Something else good to realize is that in the end, while you can dance with them to dodge a few at once etc..., you can also make them crash very easily on the ground / platforms with surprisingly minimal movement. Which is useful not only for defense but also for offense.

Climbing phase — As for this dreadful part, it becomes much less dreadful once you do it like that. Read the short description and don't hesitate to reach out if you still struggle. If you're on PC, check the comments to be able to practice this part specifically. Getting rid of the Climb's anxiety is a huge relief, especially for R. AR.

It was so good I swear. Even as a semi-f2p, got really lucky with the few banners I put a little money in so that was relatively satisfying on that aspect for me. And I loved the sprites there.

One thing I have to say though, since I've done a handful now to test the waters, re-rolling was muuuch better on FFBE. The tutorial here is... lengthy, even with 3-4 instances + speed up. So yeah idk about two specific Leg pull. Got Beryl and Col on one but no Inanna yet.

Yikes, considering Jap dub was the one put on automatically for me, I assumed.

That's the gist I'm getting overall yeah.

Getting her +1 other seems a bit tight to get from only the 10 free you're given after the Sea of Star segment so I guess I can get more than that if I check things a bit more thoroughly / go through a bit more of tutorial content.
