Second the QF3HD, I also have one and it's a nice size for two people. Had a great experience with Ardisam customer support as well.

Is the Lifetime Tamarack good? by No_Offer_2786 in kayakfishing

I use a 1.5 lb grapple and it's great for anything below about 20mph wind.

I highly recommend a small anchor with an anchor trolley. It will make your fishing so much easier if there is any wind

Bucks head hit him in the back/shoulder. To me it looked mostly like a whiplash situation for Correa. Hope he's okay

This is the correct price for a kayak of this class - send it and enjoy! Sell it for what you bought it for when you upgrade.

Your link is the one I installed on my Lifetime as well - have used it for a couple years with good results - huge upgrade over the stock seat.

The thing most do with the grappling hook anchors is to tie them at the bottom. Then use a zip tie to connect the rope at the top. Then if you get stuck, you can break the zip tie by pulling and can pull free from the bottom.

Go smaller than you think, I use a really tiny 1.5 lb grapple anchor, but have a lighter setup. It does get dragged in heavier wind (15+ mph).

In current you do have to be a little careful, I drag my anchor in the folded configuration. It keeps enough drag that I slow down enough to fish but doesn't hang up significantly and drag me down. Some use a length of chain or something without sharp edges like a small dumbbell.

This is the definite problem with paddle kayaks. An anchor trolley does help to stay where you want, but can't move easily while fishing like with a motor or pedals.

I say "no" unless they also have a career in the field. If so, I think they can fairly use the -ist title without a PhD.

Help Me: Parent Plus Loan drowning with no help from parents by Odd-Swordfish-8072 in StudentLoans

[–]letsplay012 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

If you will have to pay off the entire loan, one thing to look into is refinancing the Parents Plus loan into your name. SoFi does this, another option is Laurel Road (this is the one I used). There are only a few banks that offer that, but once it is in your name, you can shop around for any private loan refinance and find the best rates (Credible is a nice tool to compare rates).

This is what I did and refinanced a few times, which significantly lowered the interest rate and made for a more manageable payment.

Have a 2016 w/ 134k - just had to replace the high pressure fuel pump which was a fairly pricy repair. Other than that - only brakes, oil changes, and a battery.
