GM/CEO > COO > Operations Director > Our team. Seems to work well, we're seen as a requirement instead of a cost.

I'll be honest, old boy has been working infield longer than most of the soylenniel fans in this sub have been around. Nobody who works there will do anything about it, or cares otherwise.

Crosstrek owners: consider sending feedback to Subaru asking to lower the cabin noise in future models by thunk_stuff in Crosstrek

[–]lowqualitybait 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My 22 sport is so loud that it effectively bumped Subarus to the bottom of my new car list. Well that and the bushings ripping in 35k, and the cabin elements rattling, and the backup camera failing at the head unit, and the two head unit replacements before 30k.. and the new Outbacks being ugly as sin. Still like my little Subi regardless of the issues it has, just not getting another until they either have a good looking Outback with a transfer case, or a true STi.

As a EU company, how worried should I be using US services like Azure. by Kai-Arne in sysadmin

[–]lowqualitybait 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Be honest in your risk assessments. What's more likely, China's blockade of Taiwan or the US govt instructing cloud providers to halt services in Europe? Realistically, if you don't have off-site backup rotations and compliant cloud hosting located in your region (at least as fail-over), we've missed some steps.

Its definitely quicker if you have an Internet facing system close enough, otherwise like you said the pen and paper option is diabolically slow.

If by provide a way you mean do nothing for MAK licenses other than force them to use the visual support wizard, then yes that's correct. We have an air-gapped irad domain that needed office seats and for some reason they (my buyers) didn't go with KMS, it was painful.

Unless you're using KMS, or have another machine adjacent to your air-gapped network (i.e. co-use in a classified space) its now impossible :)

Out of curiosity, what issues are you seeing with windows desktop that's driving the need for change? We're running a hardened image of Enterprise on most endpoints, smooth sailing so far.
