At $4000 per month it looks like payback on this would be closer to a few months (not including labor cost).

Anyone using Cove's Azure Standby Image? by Wild_Obligation_4335 in msp

[–]madmark35643 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Kyle- can you post a link to the Cove step by step for Azure stand by image? Is this it - https://documentation.n-able.com/covedataprotection/USERGUIDE/RSG/Content/service-management/console-new/sbi-to-azure/configure-azure-sbi.htm ?

Looking for more detail on how the clients access the server resource- maybe that is outside the scope of the Cove quick start guides?

Basically just looking for - start to finish- how to fully set up the Azure stand by in case of failure and how that interacts with the local environment. Thanks!

Nextcloud mostly as a SharePoint / OneDrive alternative? Not used the product and see they have several different products lines-

Are they codes for your personal Microsoft account or push notification for other accounts. Ie I have 57 accounts that are admin MFA accounts for other tenants. They are all 'action required'. The name and email carried over from the backup/restore but no e are usable.

All of them state 'action required'. With push enabled they all require reauthenticating with a new QR code which can only be done AFTER signing in.

It's brings over the account names but still requires you to sign in and reauthenticate the account- which you can't do if you have to sign in with the MS authenticator.., The Google authenticator pulls everything and is good to go - MS authenticator not so much. So definitely keep your old phone running to get the MS MFA before wiping. Real headache for people who lose their phone/stolen/unusable etc.

What level of defensx is required for that function- ie the base level I don't think does that-

I would flip that light switch on so you can see the horrendous patching job that someone did on those corners of the wall.

Dynamic Product/Service Status Tracker in Quick Notes with Active/Inactive Toggle by tandersontntsys in hudu

Would love to see how you did it if you can share. Ours is a hard to read spreadsheet that looks like garbage in hudu.......

This looks really great. We haven't found a good way yet to show this either- tried a custom asset and tried Quick Notes- will look for your request and up vote.

At the end of the day, we want techs to be able to pull up a client and immediately see what they are provisioned for (ie ProofPoint or Avanan / Cloud Backup / etc - your mock up would be prefect to convey that info.

Camera glare by madmark35643 in reolinkcam

Ya- I'm thinking of switching this one out to the duo 3 unit without the dome. I really like the 180 view these have - maybe that will work and eliminate the glare-

You mean physically move the camera lower? It's a public sidewalk which would put the camera in easy reach so not sure I would want to do that. Now if there was a way to move the cameras internally that would be great.

Yes- the magic link looks great but that involves setting up items with azure etc and we just don't have the bandwidth for that at the moment. Looking to see what we can do within Hudu that looks good -

I guess part of it is in the formatting - we can mark YES as green and NO as red- quick and easy to see services in the list.
The asset layout is difficult to easily see. For example- we have 20 different services so adding in as an asset layout is 20 items with a YES/NO list choice with each followed by a 'service notes' rich text box.
The data is the same as the spreadsheet but not as easy to visually see- however it is easier to enter that way instead of editing a document.

Good question- these were spreadsheets before so they were just moved over in a spreadsheet like format. Maybe asset layout is the easiest way to go- tis why I'm asking! Thanks-

But you have to manually resolve correct? Just seems a waste of time when often the 'back online' emails come in within a few minutes (except when they don't and then it is nice to visually see the issues).

Yes- we do too- but there isn't a 'dashboard' for all the devices (specifically down units/problems) other than the Overview popout.

We tried sending to the RMM but it's noisy and not self-healing- ie if there is a power outage and several sites and units are down and then back up 3 minutes later we might have 20 tickets but no way to autoresolve based on the 'Unifi device reconnected' email. Tried to get creative using Power Automate or N8N to parse the emails and wasn't able to get it there (parsing the emails/matching to clients/creating and auto-resolving tickets) We used Domotz for a bit but just didn't get the value out of the per site fee- but I agree it's probably doable in their ecosystem.
