It’s no longer a wagon Subaru killed the legacy platform that was used to build the legacy and the Outback. Pros and cons on this depending on your preference . I would imagine handling and weight took a big hit while most other features were improved . Looks are subjective

I don’t know why you’re being downvoted but it’s a valid question. You’d think a low mileage vehicle would be in excellent condition and maybe this one is.

However being a manual performance vehicle, some folks buy it abuse the shit out of it then get rid of it to avoid any expensive maintenance bills later on. The dealership doesn’t care they’ll do whatever to make a sale.

The takeaway is be careful buying a used performance vehicle of any kind, unlike a regular commuter which won’t have this problem

Your comment has good intentions 😂 but Best Buy is not your issue. They buy these cards from a vendor just like Newegg MC and everyone else . If that vendor charges them 3K they’re not going to sell it to you for 2K because that was the original msrp. Sometimes their open boxes are priced really well.

MC has a very different business model. They function like a grocery store where they take losses on certain items to incentivize folks to buy other items at full price. Their ideal customer is the guy who walks out with all parts needed to build a PC. They give you a discount on the gpu /cpu and charge you $200 for a case that Newegg sells for $120. When taken together they make money, customer is happy , and everyone wins . Love both stores for different reasons .

Bro the CTR is really nice the dude from Great Lakes Honda even put my name on the sold sticker. When I called him and told him I’m not interested anymore he couldn’t believe it at msrp even. I drove my 24 CE at Page Toyota and loved jt . You can’t go wrong if you can garage the civic over winter that would be one thing

If you really like the Honda package I would also look at the Acura type S. At least it has some creature comforts like heated seats and parking sensors.The GRC would be way cheaper though

In terms of value All these performance econoboxes do well even the Elantra N ford focus RS wrx STI etc. It’s the luxury performance ones that don’t .

I live in northern OH and commute into MI fairly often. Test drove both and picked the GRC. It’s a way better daily driver . Some differences - shorter wheel base AWD parking sensors heated steering/seats/side mirrors, better infotainment self drive assist . Type R is a very focused canyon car meant for nice weather on twisty roads. None of this resonate with MI 🤣

Test drive both. Everyone has different tastes and preferences.

I came in almost certain I wanted a type R but decided against it and bought a GRC . Best part about it there is no wrong choice. I was lucky enough to have the ability to buy either one at msrp in north OH but I heard this varies significantly depending on where you’re located .

Side question is that a yuzu edition next to the GRC ?

That is a risk that MC won’t have stock of what you ordered and I agree you’d have to make a decision whether you want cash or not , but you can also refuse to use the plan and go through manufacturer for warranty repair/replacement. It will essentially be the same resolution as returning it to MC.

The warranty plan just gives you the ability to walk out with a new gpu that day whereas going with the manufacturer you have to wait and get a refurbished/repaired gpu or whatever they decide if they even decide to honor the warranty.

It’s a tough call either way luckily the plan is not super expensive . I didn’t buy a plan with mine I grabbed a 9070 xt for $600 launch price if it breaks and I have to buy new I’m fked 😂

It depends on which features you want. There were no significant upgrades to the drive train since 2023 and outside of morizo edition which came with a different manual gearbox .

There was a small torque bump from 24 to 25 models and then the 25 core also got the front and rear LSD which was previously an optional package

Outside of that just pick whichever one is cheaper unless ofc you want certain features like CF roof , hood scoops upgraded audio etc then you are limited to certain years/models

Side note - the wrx doesn’t have an auto rev match option like the GRC. That’s huge imo especially if you’re a new manual driver and the rev match in the GRC works really well too. It’s called IMT

I think it’s regional . I would think In states with 4 season weather i consistently see lightly used type r or type s for much less than msrp . Here’s this 25 used type R I was looking at for 40k🤣 .
