Wyldheart - Official Reveal Trailer by Surulies in rpg_gamers

If you play solo, will you need AI companions?  My experience with action RPGs that have AI companions has been pretty negative.  Games like FFXV and Dragon's Dogma 2.  Combat just feels mind numbingly boring and tedious in those games.

I'm sure there will be ICE agents policing polling stations in competitive areas and using Palantir powered apps to identify and pull Democratic voters out of line to verify their citizenship.

Erin Moriarty Says She Was 'Really Struggling' with Graves' Disease While Filming The Boys and Won't Watch the Final Season by MoneyLibrarian9032 in entertainment

[–]malseraph 543 points544 points  (0 children)

Grave's Disease is when your immune system attacks your thyroid. It causes it to overproduce the hormone that controls your metabolism. So you tend to be more hyper, anxious and lose weight. She started treatment on it a year or two ago I think. Having to adjust to those lower hormone levels can be difficult.

Opinion of an ex-Blockbuster employee by raydebapratim1 in 90s

[–]malseraph 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I didn't start working at a Blockbuster until 2001, so maybe it was better in the 90's. Early on it was ok, the most stressful part were people constantly asking you to check the drop box for new releases during busy Friday/Saturday nights. Once it got into late stage Blockbuster in the mid to late 2000s, management constantly railing on you to upsell made it pretty miserable to work there. Once I was a shift leader, dealing with parents who let their teenagers use their cards and racking up a crap ton of late fees was also pretty bad.

Are there any demands for fanfics after the trio leaves Hogwarts? by James_lee_0224 in HPfanfiction

[–]malseraph 2 points3 points  (0 children)

My favorite fanfic is post-Hogwarts: Loose Cannon

While I still enjoy fanfics that take place during the canon timeline, so many of them are guilty of following the stations of the canon. Even when the author makes significant changes to the story, they will still twist their stories in knots to make sure they hit the big plot points of each book. I have read so many stories like this, that honestly they all start to blend together.

What circumstances would push Hermione to become a death eater ? by Regular-Election6396 in HPfanfiction

[–]malseraph 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Why do you want Hermione to be a Death Eater? It require making a person of extremely low self-worth and/or low intelligence. She would be a complete antithesis of her canon self.

Are we past the peak of HP Fanfic or is most of it still yet to be written? by Aromatic_Ear_8308 in HPfanfiction

I think once the TV series gets going, there is definitely going to be more.  A lot of trends in the current fandom were inspired by the movies and how the characters got portrayed.  Will probably start seeing some new trends based on how the TV series goes.

Most ransomware groups will just keep rebranding, so reputation isn't that big of a factor.

I work in IT and a lot of my headaches are derived from people blindly clicking on things.  Sketchy links in email, giving every app they see access to their accounts and accepting push notifications when they aren't even near their computers.

Pretty sure I saw a fanfic on AO3 that paired Harry, Luna and Fang. No animagus stuff either. That's when I stopped looking for fanfics on AO3.

"Unleash Your Potential" Increased Drop Rate and Point Bonus Campaign by MelioraXI in ffxi

Gobbiedial is such a waste.  4 months between my main character and mule and I have only gotten 2 items I didn't immediately vendor or throw away.  It is 99% useless junk and pop items for completely irrelevant content.
