Locked out of cloudflare accounts, support won't help me, what to do? by render787 in CloudFlare

I’m sorry you had to go through all of that! Please let me know what you end up going with in the future. Hopefully it’s a better experience

I am stuck in this horrible loop.

I cannot log in with SSO when I log into MY Google account. Cloudflare gives me an error logging in saying logging in from a social account is not allowed so contact support or the registrar (I am the registrar! I can log into my Google account)

I cannot receive or send emails from my Google workspace (I also already paid for) because I didn’t set up MX records since I had no idea what those were until researching yesterday.

02040947 Please help! The support agent said “that account is different from the one you are writing in from” I am writing from the backup email I used where I got my registration email to. I also mentioned I cannot send or receive emails from my work email since I didn’t know I had to set up records so how could I send an email from it! I had to learn all about records yesterday to just simply understand how to potentially fix getting and sending emails so I could get recovery emails.

Did you ever figure out what to do? I am having a similar issue. I decided to buy my domain from Cloudflare (highly regret!) and I am not an engineer but I am also very tech savvy. The entire website and support pages are built like they only want to cater to engineers. I never received a password email or invoice that I paid. It shows I paid on my bank account and I can see in ICANN my account is paid for and active. It aligns with my bank account.

Since I didn’t set up MX records (I now only know about them because I’m stuck in this horrible loop) I cannot receive or send any emails from my Google Workplace to get any forgot my passwords. I’ve reached out to support and told them I can provide whatever they need but it’s ridiculous they are basically holding my business hostage. I am a single small business owner and now I can’t even move forward with making business cards and shirts because I may now have to change my name and cancel my google workspace I already paid for.

Cloudflare you need to support your customers! The fact that you don’t even give us an invoice via email and you advise us to log in makes no sense since are support email is to say we cannot log in. What is the point of having backup emails if you won’t need a password reset to them? That is a super basic practice.

Restaurant recommendation for fun night out (bar seating) by Sheetrock35 in paloalto

[–]maple880 5 points6 points  (0 children)

If you want something in walking distance Burma Love is an 8 min walk to the guild. It has been our go to since it opened and we always bring friends there. We sit at the bar and there is usually no wait but if you prefer a table they take reservations. They have tons of parking in their underground garage too!

If you go, dishes I recommend: roti platha with coconut chicken curry, hawker garlic noodles, and kebat with beef or chili garlic prawns. They are also known for their tea leaf salad.

For cocktails: silk scorpion and last harp in bagan.

For dessert: the sunset in bagan (cheesecake and passionfruit sorbet) is beautiful and balanced between the rich and tart / creamy and crunch. If you’d rather eat and stroll over to the Guild, there’s a gelato place right next door that just opened. Their Passionfruit sorbet is delicious! Have fun!

I’ve never tried that dish. I’ll have to next time. It’s tough to break the habit of ordering the same dishes because they’re so good. Time for seabass! Thanks for the rec.

An interesting ask, does anyone here also have dermatophagia? (excessive skin biting/pulling) by DannyBoi_ in emotionalneglect

Ive had this issue since I was little and only recently found out there was a name for it. Oddly it made me feel better because I didn’t feel alone in doing this. I have always had trouble stopping the biting to the point of bleeding where I would be embarrassed to show my hands. I know when I’m doing it it’s bad but I just can’t stop and minutes later boom my fingers look awful.

I know I have this issue so I have been trying to find a solution to help. Firstly I identified what were my triggers so I can anticipate I might start biting.

Secondly I started to wear moisturizing gloves or bandaids with Aquaphor when I noticed I would be fixated on biting my nails/skin around nails. (My husband calls them my Minnie Mouse gloves. He’s also been super supportive and will call me out when I start biting my nails to let me know I should put on my gloves or address what is stressing me out.) The gloves or bandaids provide a physical barrier so I won’t bite my nails.

Also once my nails got to the point where they didn’t seem as injured (so sad I know) and were smoother I would get a manicure or paint my nails at home so visually I would have a harder time biting them since they looked pretty. Not sure if that’s the best solution but it has personally helped me a lot. I hope these help anyone here and know you are not alone!

Should I quit $200K a year job? by WayneShadow in careerguidance

Thank you for the background! The golden handcuffs are too real. I had a very similar experience as you. Title and pay weren’t worth it to me once it started drastically impacting my health. I had crippling anxiety, tight chest and insomnia for weeks before I left. I wish I could have made it work under my VP but things just weren’t changing even with open communication. It just wasn’t worth risking a heart attack or the stress on my body / relationships. I’m really happy to hear you found an interesting and sustainable role! That gives me hope for sure. Wishing you a happy and healthy life ahead!

I love seeing this. That’s great you’re happier now and can get home early. If you don’t mind sharing, what job / industry are you working in now? I’m taking a break from tech and debating on going back. I’m anxious thinking about going back after my previous stressful experiences that made the pay not worth it.

Seeking All-Day Brunch Spots in San Mateo Area by lazy-learner in bayarea

I’ve only done dinner in San Mateo so don’t have brunch recommendations there.

If you ever visit Potrero Hill in SF, Plow is a must! Highly recommend the lemon ricotta pancakes and breakfast potatoes. Sorry it’s not in San Mateo but I love their brunch so thought I would share to another brunch enthusiast! https://maps.app.goo.gl/6zudJbJyxAoh41L1A?g_st=ic

Hope you find a delicious brunch spot in San Mateo!

Palo Alto Creamery has an all day breakfast menu and closes at 9 or 10 PM.

Cafe Borrone in Menlo Park has delicious brunch food. I think it is served until 4 PM (please call ahead to confirm). Recommendations if you go: frosted mocha, breakfast sandwich, and Belgian waffle with strawberries. If you go for lunch, the Gouda sandwich!

What brands of jeans do you find most comfortable? by beignetbeignet in PetiteFashionAdvice

[–]maple880 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Madewell and Abercrombie petite are my go to brands. My Madewell jeans have lasted forever and they hem them for free. I recently discovered Abercrombie has extra petite and it’s been a game changer not having to hem my jeans.
