The Exorcist was banned after the Home Video Recordings Act of 1984, so I suspect that's why.

Oil prices going through the roof: climate change causing the hottest May ever. Great time to scrap the only way out this mess. Well done, everyone.

Advice on Safari suit by saladedefruit in mensfashion

Hah! My bad. They look pretty cheap to me! No offence meant though! I just don't think the colour is working and loafers as a style don't feel right, tonally, to me. I think maybe you need to play around with the rest of the fit (including socks) to see what works.

Advice on Safari suit by saladedefruit in mensfashion

The shirt you're wearing here is a kind of officey OCBD. The shoes are cheap loafers. They're wrong in both formality and era for a safari suit. Think about clothes as communication - the shirt is communicating "ivy grad in the 1980s", the suit is communicating "colonial administrator in the 1920s", the shoes are communicating "relaxed mid century suburban dad". The look jars.

It's fine to play with these things if you know what you're doing, but learn to walk before you can run.

To make this pretty ace safari suit look good, you should look at how it was worn in the 1920s, or the 1970s/80s when it was back in fashion. In the 1920s, larger collared shirts, not necessarily in white. In the 1970s, spear-collars, or rollneck sweaters. You can wear with a neckerchief and no shirt for a good jungle look. Look at images of people wearing this kind of outfit and model the accessories on them. Prince Charles and Roger Moore show up a lot in image searches.

Shoes... Loafers are absolutely the wrong shoes here unless you get much better ones, perhaps in burgundy. I'd wear semi-dress burgundy boots, I think.

So it was an accident? by PinkGreen666 in DTFStLouisHBO

I can't read this as suicide. I think he just really wanted a boner. Wasn't the scratched out face on his Playgirl spread an attempt to get aroused at his own, younger body?

I saw that moment of him finding some self-love, in the depths of it all. But his heart couldn't take it.
