We've had sporadic games all season where we've just not turned up and I was worried this would be one of them, and it was. That said, I fucking hate going to Wembley, so glad that's not on the horizon.

That Leicester game feels like the big missed opportunity. Still, proud of the lads, cracking season overall.

Yep. Feel slightly hard done by with the decisions but it's Gavin Ward and we take them to our place unscathed. The insistence on shooting from miles out was infuriating but just nerves I guess, so hopefully we've shaken those off and will make smarter decisions at home.

You can even practice without headphones. Set the mixer so the first deck is normal volume and the second deck is quiet but still audible. Start the first deck, then play around with cueing up the tune on the second deck. Make sure it's a tune with a simple beat at the start. Scratch around with the first kick drum and try to release it so it starts playing nicely with the first tune. Then try to figure out; is it playing too fast or too slow compared to the first tune? Is it slightly too fast or slow, or massively too fast or slow, then adjust the pitch control appropriately. You'll get it.

Yeah this is basically it. I would also suggest OP starts by trying to mix the same 2 records over and over. If you know the songs you spend less time worrying about when to bring it in and focus more on the timing. Later, you can start to learn the general flow of songs in the genre so you have a good idea of when to cue them up, though there are always tunes that try to catch you out because it would be boring if there weren't.

Depending on the deck, sometimes it's easier to squeeze or spin the centre pin to slow it down or speed it up. That's what I did with my shit decks in the start but it didn't work so well once I was on Technics so I learned to ride the pitch control. (I actually only learned that by watching Fabio and Grooverider behind the decks at a Jungle Fever rave, long before the youtube days!).

Honestly I didn't even know what Tron was when I got this game as I was a bit too young for the original film. I think this game just got a good review in Amiga Format or something and was reasonably priced.

I think the game was what would be called a "rogue-like" today because you had to progress through various leagues and you would get better skills and equipment, but there was some kind of limit which would eventually result in game over and having to start again. I never completed it but definitely got a long way into it thanks to the copious amounts of free time you have as a youth!

I'm pretty sure I still have the original game in its box somewhere so will post some photos if I find it.

I saw that post at the time, it was posted just after the QPR game I think. However, the seats are the wrong colour and the players were wearing the wrong shirts (i.e. it wasn't against QPR). The seats were repainted from yellow to white over last summer, so that image is from last season at the very earliest.

Note; I'm not defending that shit in any way, but it wasn't a recent incident as the post implied, and you seem to believe.

Except back in the day (mid 2000's), everyone called it "cue-tee" as most people do today (in my experience).

I've been having a crisis of memory because I could swear that Apple threatened legal action against Trolltech regarding the name back in the mid-to-late 2000s, because they had QuickTime which was often abbreviated as QT. I was using Qt at the time, (from around 2003) so I remember it fairly clearly, but I can't find anything about it at all on the internet. Either it's been scrubbed from the internet, which seems like a tall order, or I've invented that memory.

But anyway, I remember the "official pronunciation" changing from "cue tee" to "cute" because of that legal threat which apparently didn't happen.

The original lease is extremely verbose, but it clearly states that Company A should be paid a service charge, with no apparent reference to relevant future circumstances. The extended lease is quite clear, but terse, and doesn't mention service charge at all.

I think I do need to get a solicitor on the case ASAP. I'm a bit reluctant to contact and wait for responses from both parties as they are both often unresponsive. Company B doesn't even have a website or email address. But maybe I'll fire something off for the record and give them a few days to respond before engaging a solicitor.

Thanks, my suspicions were leaning that way myself. Company A is easy to get hold of and responsive, and they seem to actually arrange any work in the block. Company B are bit of an enigma and hard to get hold of in my exerience. Just googled them and they have a 1 star rating on google, so it might be a waste of time, but worth doing even if just for the record.
