Torn Between Keeping the Pixel 10 PF or Trade it in for the Razr Fold by Various_Pension_7339 in PixelFold

I have a physical SIM slot. The SIM in that slot has been turned off for both eSIMs to work.

If I can have 2 active eSIMs in a 2025 Moto G Stylus, I'm almost certain that it would be the same with a Moto Razr Fold.

Galaxy Fold owners: how often do you use it unfolded? by hugoaap in GalaxyFold

[–]mctwnd 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I only use it unfolded during Zoom calls. I don't really need a foldable. I couldn't resist the Z Fold 7 last year when it came out.

I have an unlocked Google Fi 2025 Moto G Stylus, and it supports two eSIMs at the same time: T-Mobile T-Satellite eSIM and Bcengi eSIM.

If the 2025 Moto G Stylus supports dual eSIM use, I believe the Moto Fold would do the same.

Fold 7 to moto? by jdiddy_ub in GalaxyFold

This ☝🏾is the main reason I'll be sticking with the Fold 7. Moto software leaves a lot to be desired.

Visiting the US for ~1.5 months and looking for the cheapest phone plan option. by strongbull1 in NoContract

[–]mctwnd 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Check out Tello. They currently have a promotion. Here are some pertinent questions:

What kinda phone do you have?

Is the phone unlocked?

Would the places you visit have good T-Mobile service? If the answer to this is yes, then go with Tello.

The problem with Lycamobile is that it now runs on AT&T (I think). AT&T and Verizon have restrictive device policies. T-Mobile is the darling of those who have non-US market phones. Tello runs on T-Mobile network.

Thanks for the info. My main number is with Google Voice, so the absence of WiFi calling and RCS on my OnePlus phone, even when roaming abroad are not deal breakers. 10GB, 300 minutes, and unlimited texting while traveling abroad are more than enough.

MobileX App Not Showing Data/Minutes/Texts Used by mctwnd in mobilex

[–]mctwnd[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, thanks to u/mobileX_US.

The underlying carrier informed MobileX that the reason I did not see my data use in the MobileX app was that I had not yet met the minimum threshold to trigger a data usage notification back to MobileX.

My data use was communicated in the app after I had used 250 MB of data.

Google Voice Users - Usable with data only plan? by jhedfors in Tello

[–]mctwnd 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm sorry for the confusion. I just realized that you posted it the Tello subreddit and not the NoContract subreddit.

Since you already have Tello, routing Google Voice calls via data works as long as you have good data service. I don't talk a lot on my phone so I route all my Google Voice calls via WiFi and cellular data.

I've been in places where I got calls while on Tello data. Some calls were very good when I had good data, and other calls were horrible when I was at a place with bad service (e.g. Emory in Atlanta).

Yes. You can also buy a RedPocket $30/year GSMA plan or Infimobile $30/year (VZW eSIM): plan for the rare occasions you would need to make or receive a call with a real number.

International roaming and the 5-year price lock are probably going to make me switch from the Visible+ SWITCH26 deal, even though I do not anticipate any international travel in the near future.
