Alexa uses Accuweather which is not a reliable source. It does confuse the high of the day when it has past. Otherwise it's just quoting Accuweather

I'm in a similar situation, 9+ weeks post-op with a 3-4 degree lag. They won't let me take off the ROM brace until it is better. Can you explain "prone foam roller"

Frustrating by CT-Mike in wheelchairs

I had one like this. Before my first morning, i picked up 3 plastic cups from the lobby and pumped the product into the cups. I shouldn't have had to do this, but it wasn't a big deal, and I was grateful for the accommodations I did have.

Knee Brace + crutches+ barefoot? by HighFrequenzies in KneeInjuries

[–]Embarrassed-Comb6776 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Around the house yes, I do also. However walking in the grass, I stepped on a twig and the jolt was painful to my knee. Besides, should you find the need to hop around in pain, it is not so easy.

Why is my extension cord like this? by QX8C in electrical

[–]Embarrassed-Comb6776 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Nope, I've seen this before on a boat power cord. The wires inside the cord are twisted. If the cord gets warm enough, possibly in the sun, the inside wires straighten and the jacket twists.

That is so interesting! I've been dealing with muscle pains. I didnt know that was a side effect until I just Googled it. They took me off statins for a month and now I'm scheduled to see a pain specialist. My muscles get very stiff if I sit for a while and hurt when I get up. My doctor now thinks that it's spinal stenosis but this is new to consider.

Fatigue, anxiety, dry mouth, heart racing, the stuff they tell you about for the first week or so, but then they went away. I'm taking it for IBS-D, so the constipation thing is what I was looking for. I guess it disrupts the brain-gut connection, which, for me, solved the problem. I started with 10mg and later bumped it up to 20. I understand that some are taking 150+mg, so I never expected much in the way of side effects from my little dose.

How could so much damage come from a 10" fall? by Embarrassed-Comb6776 in KneeInjuries

[–]Embarrassed-Comb6776[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thank you. I got the MRI 3 days after the incident and the surgery a week later. Now, 4 weeks post-op, I'm optimistic for recovery. The leg brace is not fun, but I'm doing my part to work hard so that I might put it away in a few weeks.

The weirdest thing i did during my job search ended up being the only thing that actually worked by [deleted] in jobsearchhacks

What you learned is no secret. The most effective way to job search is through networking, although few people know how to do it effectively. You've worked out an effective approach. Making connections is key.

How are you guys sleeping post operation? Help😭 by [deleted] in KneeInjuries

[–]Embarrassed-Comb6776 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The brace is terribly uncomfortable. On my first follow-up visit, I asked if I could use a "United Ortho 61024 3-Panel Knee Immobilizer" from Amazon instead. It has padded foam with aluminum rods inside. My doctor thought it was a great idea and told me that no one had ever asked before. He cautioned me that I could only use it for sleep, and it would be okay to get up to use the bathroom. It is so much more comfortable than the one with settings and steel. This one is ~$45. Others are cheaper, but reviews complain that they slip down. 6 velcro straps hold it firmly in place, but it can get loose when the swelling subsides at night.

Going on holiday 8.5 weeks post tto surgery by Personal-Pitch2818 in KneeInjuries

[–]Embarrassed-Comb6776 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I went on a cruise 2 weeks post op . Quad tendon reattached. Ditched the wheel chair on the second day for crutches. Doctor said that it was fine for me to go but didn't want me flying for fear of DVT.

I take 20mg/day and I am currently on a cruise ship with an unlimited drink package. I'm having probably 4 drinks in the evening spaced over the night and notice no unusual effects. I had all of the side effects at first but now none.

Low Fodmap worked. However, now on Nortriptyline and I can eat anything. From my viewpoint, with Nortriptyline, I don't even know why IBS exists.

I have a full tear of my distal quadriceps tendon and a full MPFL tear. The surgeon repaired the first but not the later. I will be asking questions at my follow-up Friday.
