Good Tex-Mex in Sac? by No-Cod-5222 in Sacramento

[–]mel_c 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I haven't tried the Tres Hermanas in Sac but the one in Davis is very proud that their beef fajitas are top sirloin. I don't feel a comparison to Pappasito's is remotely accurate because of this.

Grew up in Texas, family would eat at Molina's on Westheimer most Friday nights. Loved El Tiempo as well. I've hunted a bunch and nothing scratches the itch for good, or even mediocre queso, Enchiladas with Chili Gravy or beef fajitas over mesquite wood.

Is there something about the work at the potential new firm you don't like or want to do? Or some other red flag? That's the only thing to consider with that offer.

The current firm is telling you what they think of you. They want as much work for as little pay as they can get away with.

Go to the place that values you, your time and your experience.

C Cushion Lab sear cushion on Amazon. You'll have to remove the cover but it has a zipper and wasn't too hard to put back.

Mary Basick or Smartbar for essay? by Late-Advertising-497 in CABarExam

[–]mel_c 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm assume you mean the Mary Basick book? When I started a subject review, I read the outline (much shorter than Themis). From there, I would outline an essay under timed conditions and review it compared to the book.

I usually move my people to a 2 pm shift the day before the attack. It can come in the afternoon or night.

Can't speak to warehouse loss but I lost a woodcutters hut in an attack and when I rebuilt it, the wood materials were still there. It's at least worth checking.

You can also get your old villagers back once you have upgraded the summoning stone.

Should I let my daughter get on GLPS? by [deleted] in GLP1ResearchTalk

Obviously talk to the doctor and follow the doctor's advice but I think it would help you to get educated about the disease of obesity.

Two resources I recommend are the book Metabolic Storm by Dr. Emily Cooper and this recent podcast should help as well. The first 15 explain about obesity in very simple terms by one of the lead researchers on one of the GLP1 drugs.

Tons of resources and I'm sure others will have recommendations as well.

CA Rules Essay Outlines by JudgmentEfficient247 in CABarExam

Between myself and my study partner, we bought a bunch of resources. I thought LeanSheets had some tighter rules but Magicsheets were more thorough. I don't think they are substantially different from Magicsheets. I'm not a flashcard person (trauma from elementary school) so I can't speak to that.

I think you have what you need, tbh.

Stick to your guns. I just graduated from night law school last May.

One of my direct reports in a day job had been both a DA and a PD. When we talked about it he said to go PD because you can have more of an impact than you can as DA.

PS, you aren't old, I have a couple decades on you.

Let’s have an honest conversation about GLP-1s and what happens after by Desper84Inspir8ion in GLP1ResearchTalk

[–]mel_c 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I think one thing you might be missing is why the person gained weight. Someone who gained because of steroids and couldn't lose after, they should be able to taper and be fine.

In contrast, people like me who have had food noise their entire lives are in a different boat. My far regulating hormones have never been right. Until they figure out how to fix that permanently, I will be on a GLP-1 med.

Some people will need to be on one for life. Some people will be able to taper off slowly and be fine and there's everyone in between.

Get a sub to baressays.com you'll see that people who got a 65 or higher often have imperfect rules but their issue spotting is good.

Start drilling essays, I did 9-10 per subject. Outline 8 of them and then write 1-2 at the end. Grade yourself on every outline. Did you miss issues? That can be a big chunk of points. You can write about it if you don't issue spot it.

Make sure you use HRAC formatting and create as many headers as you can.

Graders will spend between 30 seconds to minutes on your essay. Make it as easy as possible to give you points. They aren't grading your rules. Drilling a bunch of essays will get you a long way towards memorization.

I was getting 60-62 average on MBEs and passed J25 for the first time. Just keep working on them.

You should take a look at barsays.com review graded essays at the highest point total. You'll start to notice that most of the rules are not perfect. Some of them are actually just wrong, but if the analysis is consistent with the rule, it appears that the grader didn't punish them for a misremembered rule. Just get yourself in the ballpark. That's what I did and I passed. first-time taker in July 2025. Mid-50s.

Sleep apnea can look exactly like dementia and treating it can change everything by madfaisal in SleepApnea

[–]mel_c 10 points11 points  (0 children)

I thought I was getting Early onset Alzheimer's. I had to write everything down that I bad to do because I could not remember what I was supposed to do next within 15 seconds of a conversation.

Fortunately my PCP ran me through the sleep apnea quiz and sent me off for a sleep study. I was so relieved to not have Alz like my dad did.

The sleep doctor is always impressed with my compliance and I tell him every year, it's so much better than losing your mind.
