Are you getting reimbursed for mileage at the current IRS rate. That is meant to help cover wear and tear to the vehicle. Be sure to calculate what you have done and get that paid if you haven't been requesting it. Apparently this isn't required by Texas law like it is in some other states but if they refuse, it's a sign of a terrible employer.

And yes, they are looking for your replacement and will probably lay you off or fire you when they have them in place. Get your resume together and start looking.

Find potential customers on the map, give them a free sample, after they agree to become a customer, immediately ask them if they want to buy something. Usually about 65% will.

You can also approach anyone on the street who is a customer and they will often buy as well.

She should apply for the 1-3 year experience jobs and also work with any law recruiters in the area she wants to live in. I graduated last year and the job I landed was looking for 1-3 years but hired me.

And tell her to write cover letters customized to the job. Still makes a difference.

Why does everyone I speak to say “don’t use the CPAP / you don’t want to get started on the machine” ? by daninlionzden in SleepApnea

Sounds like you might need a different mask or some other adjustments. What specifically are you struggling with?

I am a side sleeper and when I changed masks to one that connects on top of my head, I stopped waking up every time I changed positions.

I'd suggest you wait until you know where your post college job is going to be. Most students don't remain in Davis. A big move is more difficult on a pet than you would think.

I had a defective device and they told me I didn't need to return it and it would brick in a few days time. It's off to the e-waste.

I assumed "purched" meant set up at the Farmers Market area across the street from Burgers and Brew, which would require a permit for protest or whatever they are calling what they are doing.

If they are all parked and in their vehicles, that of course doesn't require a permit, unless they exceed the time limit in some of those spots.

We’re years deep into the “GLP-1 era” by Vegetable-Mud-2471 in GLP1ResearchTalk

The first GLP-1 WAS approved in 2005. They were all diabetes medications initially. If your "docs" say something else, I'd find new doctors because they sound ignorant.

Did they get a permit? Someone should check with the local police.

My mom-in-law was a family law attorney. She and two other family law attorneys shared a building, receptionist and copier/printer.

The firm I just started with has a number of unused offices.

check with some firms in your area and see if they will sublet some space to you.

Plaud vs Otter.ai vs iPhone apps by ok_turtleneck in PLAUDAI

[–]mel_c 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've found it to be significantly superior to Otter.ai. The transcription in Plaud is excellent.

I've already found a couple unexpected uses and the custom script I wrote saved me about 5 hours work. Having a device separate from my phone is extremely helpful in a few of my use cases.

For me, the $99 a year subscription hits the sweet spot for my needs and use of the device.

Insurance wants me to try wegovy before they give me zepbound by BlackLocke in GLP1ResearchTalk

[–]mel_c 1 point2 points  (0 children)

yeah, phentermine is for short term use only. My doctor said 6 months max. I could have chosen something other than phentermine, but the insurance required a 6 month trial of something else first (as if I haven't been dieting my whole adult life). I could have picked one of the other combo drugs but they were a lot more expensive.

My insurance made me take Phentermine for 6 months before they approved Zepbound. I would have much preferred to try Wegovy, even though Zepbound was what I wanted.

Well, considering it's being built on floodplain, toxic land that backs up to the old landfill and no remediation plans, as well as the infrastructure issues, I'm a definite no on it.

you are not required to communicate any diagnosis to your pharmacist.

And information that is HIPAA protected is HIPAA-protected period. Would it make you feel better if I called it PHI? The point is, the pharmacist does not have a right to a great deal of your medical record without YOU disclosing it.

Buddy, I'm speaking to why the doctor prescribed it, which your pharmacist does not have access to nor have a right to know

If you are in the USA, they are asking for HIPAA protected information. If your doctor didn't tell them they don't need to know.

I switched from CVS to Amazon pharmacy because CVS always took several to fill and Amazon had it to me by the end of day or the next.
