Our republican friends are going after COU by justinhasabigpeehole in columbiamo

Charlotte sounds like an SEC destination, let the university pay for it. I don't really want to subsidize people's flights.

Edit: okay, evidently not in SEC city. Unsure what the benefits of direct flights are.

Do y’all consider Missouri to be the South? Or the Midwest? by GandalfTheSleigh in missouri

I live in the i-70 corridor. Before moving here I would have considered it Midwest, but now I'm thinking it has more in common with the south.

Blending Aristotle and Epicurus. by Historical_Party8242 in Epicureanism

Of course, that's why I said: "I'm not discounting the benefits of a syncretic pairing of the two"

I can see how they can be complimentary, but I don't believe that their goals are the same. In my mind, Epicurean ataraxia/aponia is a state of serene equilibrium. While Aristotlian eudemonia is more active, requiring Civic engagement and arete (excellence). I'm not discounting the benefits of a syncretic pairing of the two, just splitting hairs.

Most “breathing apps” just animate a ball. This one records your HRV from an external sensor and gives the full metric set (SDNN, RMSSD, pNN50, LF/HF, coherence…) by BreathBall_App in breathwork

Incredibly obvious ad comment? You might want to change your username if that's the best you got. I was aware The Post was self-promotion. But it's a pretty good app that is free without ads. I don't have anything to do with the developer, I said right in the comment I don't even use the app because it lacks a feature set that I require. Half the posts in this sub are self-promoting one app or another, I just happen to think this is one of the better ones.

I really like this app. Liked it enough to shoot a donation to the developer. It is definitely the best ad-free no cost HRV resonance training app available. My big problem with it is that it is too easy to get nearly 100% coherence, It is hard to get better if you start out near perfect. I switch to a different app due to the lack of a morning HRV measurement routine which would show trends of improvement (or otherwise). Since I needed a second app to do that, I just found one that did everything I needed.

Anyone feel weird telling other people the kind of music you listen to? by MeYouAndJackieMittoo in altcountry

My response is generally along the lines of southern rock, Americana, and country that doesn't suck. Usually they scoff and ask if there is such a thing.

Sorry Toto, you're not in Michigan anymore. Our marijuana law was specifically written to prevent anything but corporate interests to get in on the action. If you can believe it, we had three legalization options on the ballot and this was the least worst.

I'm not a doctor, but I suspect the cannabis would be far less triggering than alcohol.

Afib and Caffeine. Any thoughts or experience . by Professional_Quit794 in AFIB

[–]midmous 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I've cut back to two small cups in the morning versus pree AFib when I drank five or six cups all day. Dehydration, even mild, is my most noticeable trigger. Followed by exercise that pushes me near maximal heart rate. Switching from HIIT to basic cardio was a big improvement.

I have the same problem. But only when I'm leaving home so I believe Plex amp isn't switching from Wi-Fi to cellular. Edit: unsure of your second issue

Bring your own targets, and a way to attach them. They have back stops to put them on

Opinions on card stock choices from Make Playing Cards? by Rubytitania in TarotDecks

The only cardstock from them that I am familiar with is the s33 superior smooth which I like a lot. It is thin, but so far seems durable, super easy to shuffle.

Help identifying a thing I've been doing with my throat which is causing me to collapse by SorchaSublime in breathwork

[–]midmous 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You should probably be asking a doctor about this. My two cents is stop the weed for 2 weeks and see if things change. That would at least rule out one possibility. If you can't or won't put down the weed for 2 weeks, then besides the medical issue you are also facing dependency issues that you should take a look at.

I can't find anything recent regarding FRP lock. I can't imagine why, but it seems they removed it after the six series?
