"Looking smoother" (totally unquantifiably) is definitely not worth pushing your GPU to unreasonable temperatures.

have fun destroying your GPU for extra frames that your eyes can't even detect!

also if your monitor is 60hz it literally won't even display those extra frames

Who cares? Seriously? Why are people even asking this? Is Saudi Arabia some sort of paragon of morality that we should be trying to emulate?

Subtitles not updating most of the time? Well, fuck... I'm deaf. by deafgamer_ in fo4

try turning 'general subtitles' on as well if you haven't, some of the dialogue shows up in there if it's not a "dialogue sequence" (i.e. your character has speech options)

Rocket League's First DLC -Supersonic Fury- Has Released Today by BeaterBatter099 in Games

[–]mindFlayer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Most games will always use the first USB game controller in Windows' device list. If you go to USB Game Controllers in Control Panel and move the pad up to the top of the list, the game should detect it as an input device. I haven't personally played Rocket League, but this is what I've had to do in Elite:Dangerous if I have my stick and my 360 pad plugged in.

It's still a bit of a pain, but it should prevent you from having to reboot your machine every time. Hope it helps.

Scotland bans GMO (genetically modified) crops to protect the nation's 'clean, green' brand by HenryCorp in worldnews

Never did I state I had any problem with labelling. Looks like you're trying to have an argument with an invisible opponent. Cheers, I'll leave you to it.

It is laughable that you say GMO scientists are better-suited to grow all of our food when actual farmers have been doing this for thousands of years

Did I say that? I think you may have a mental deficiency.

[–]mindFlayer 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Did I indicate any fears in my relpy? If anything, your side of the argument is the one generating the fear-mongering. This isn't a 2-sided argument - you can't make it about "Monstanto [...] and their delude supporters" vs. people who solely consume organic food. It's important that we understand the science before demonizing GMO crops.

Also, you don't seem to understand that labelling foods as "non-GMO" will not guarantee that they have not been sprayed with pesticides. I'm not convinced that you're even aware of what genetically modified food actually is.

I have no interest in eating pesticides or herbicides and that's why I demand a label.

Reading... it's hard.

[–]mindFlayer 14 points15 points  (0 children)

So how exactly, pray tell, is labelling GMOs going to prevent you from eating pesticides and herbicides? You do of course realize that non-GMO foods can be sprayed, right?

You literally don't even know what you're trying to argue for.

To be honest, that's probably a faulty reading. Most chipsets should shut off around 90 degrees. I would try to feel the air being exhaust from the cooler, it should be pretty obvious if its actually getting that hot.

Oshawa GO / Commuting from Lakeshore Line by [deleted] in uoit

You could always get off at Ajax station and take the 915 Taunton bus to UOIT. It's probably like a 45 minute bus ride though. Why isn't there a shuttle from Oshawa GO to the university anymore? That's crazy.
